Jessica Simpson spills the beans on how ex-husband, Nick Lachey, messed up. Jessica says she realized the fairy tale was over when Nick opted out of accompanying her to Africa for her pet project, Operation Smile.

It sounds like Jessica was pissed that, although both she and Nick had been presented with an Operation Smile Universal Smile Award at some big gala in LA for their charity work, she was the only one who made the trek to Kenya to do the actual work.

Poor Jessica had to take her old assistant Cacee Cobb, and her ever present hairdresser Ken Paves. Jessica says once she was in Africa she realized she needed a change and Nick got the boot. That’s her story and she is sticking with it.
