Karma is a biatch! For the past few years celebs have been racking up MAJORLY expensive free swag such as high tech gadgets, jewerly, designer clothing, spa certificates and free trips for presenting at award shows. Vendors were so generous because they could write off all the items they donated for the gift bags as advertising. It got so out of hand that the government had to step in. The IRS no longer recognizes these outrageous freebies as business gifts so that means these big ticket items are guess what, TAXABLE!!!! Since the big name A-Listers receive these gifts in exchange for appearing at an event, the bags are now considered a taxable part of their income. KARMA ROCKS!!! We’ve all seen the pictures of the celebrity piranha gobbling up everything from free high end blue jeans to those God Ugly Uggs. But that era is now over. So is the era of big name presenters. This year’s list of Glove presenters is not as stellar as it has been in the past, Kristin Cavallari, New York from Flava of Love and the kid in that RV movie will all be presenting this year.
