Celebrities Embarrassed By Less Than Stellar “Digitial Death” AIDS FundraiserPosted On: December 7, 2010
Frustrated celebrities are finally back on Twitter and Facebook after the disappointing Keep A Child Alive’s’ Digital Death campaign royally bombed. Celebs like Alicia Keys, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and Ryan Seacreast agreed to ‘kill’ themselves on social media until $1 million was raised for the charity that helps fund HIV/AIDS relief in Africa and India. But it took longer than they thought it would and our favorite Twitters got upset when they started losing money. “It’s the worst mismanagement of star power I’ve ever seen in my life,” said a source close to the program. Sources said the organization expected to raise the $1 million in a week. But by yesterday, after six days, it had taken in only about $450,000. Stars including Kim Kardashian, who can earn about $10,000 a tweet, started getting itchy fingers.
They are blaming it on crashing servers or some crap but honestly…I think it’s just a case of who gives a hoot if Lady Gaga isn’t Tweeting…expect Lady Gaga’s accountant? I mean really, someone has to pay for those gargantuan shoes she likes so. It’s all good now. Some Brooklyn born pharmaceutical millionaire named Stewart Rahr bailed them all out.
