I guess sometimes beauty is just not enough. At least for Jackass’s Steve-O. The dorky and not so attractive recovering addict dumped the gorgeous Elisabetta Canalis because she parties to much and he is desperately trying to stay sober.

To be fair, Elisabetta doesn’t seem to be too bothered by the split. These photos were taken just days after the dumping. More here.

He is extremely serious about his sobriety and did not want to be dating anyone who could jeopardise that.’While they are no longer romantically involved, the insider alleges that 37-year-old Steve-O wants to help the Italian beauty leave her love of partying behind.

The source added: ‘He still really cares about her but can’t risk relapsing back into his old ways, so he had to cut her loose.

‘He has hooked her up with some women that he knows to help her try and get back on a stable footing again, and she has been attending meetings. ‘Steve-O said he thinks she’s committed to getting control of her life again and that he will help her do that, he wants her to control the partying for her own sake.

We love this guy. Steve-O is using his exhibitionist/crack-head behavior for good as he takes it all off for PETA. Can you imagine what this guy would be doing if he hadn’t found his niche?  He would have probably ended up being that weird guy in your neighborhood that sits in the front of the grocery store mumbling incoherently wearing only a raincoat and army boots.
