This is so freakin’ cool!!

It’s possible these pictures might not be as interesting to you …but I have a huge crush/unwaivering love for all things Rolling Stones. The music, the style, the attitude…..real rock-and-roll and true talent.

Honestly, I just don’t understand how can you not love this incredibly young, incredibly arrogant Mick Jagger looking all rock-and-roll skinny?

I thought I had seen every single picture ever made of Mick and the boys in the younger days. Before the hard drugs and rugged faces showed up and before Brian Jones was kicked out of the band and died.

All these pictures were taken by the same man, Bob Bonis, who had rare access to both The Rolling Stones and their great rivals, The Beatles. This is the first time these pictures and 50 others have ever been published and will all of them will appear in an exhibition in New York entitled The British Are Coming.

Bonis was tour manager for both bands and when he died in 1991 he left a treasure trove of photographs in the bottom of an old duffle bag which was stuffed with memorabilia. Only now, after his son showed them to a New York gallery, has their existence become known.

Old people always leave the best shit packed away somewhere for years, don’t they? Did he think these cool pics of Mick and the boys lounging by a pool in Florida would not interest people? Again, maybe it’s just me.
