Queen Latifah New Spokesperson For Jenny Craig

Queen Latifa has joined the ranks of Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli and will soon be paid to eat crappy food to lose weight. Jenny Craig officially confirmed yesterday that Latifah is joining hte Jenny Craig army.

“We officially confirm that Queen Latifah will join the Jenny Craig program in January. We are thrilled to have Queen Latifah support our mission of improving health by taking her first step toward achieving a more healthful lifestyle. Queen Latifah joins forces with Jenny Craig to communicate the importance of how small lifestyle changes, in the areas of diet and exercise, can have positive effects on overall health.”

We initially thought it was a bit hypocritical of QL to agree to work for Jenny because she has always been the poster child for the “big girl and proud of it” camp. But the good folks at Jenny Craig insist that this campaign is designed to be focused on living a healthier lifestyle not getting to a certain weight or dress size.

We wish Latifah the best of luck, but if living with a famous celebrity trainer can’t get your healthy, it doesn’t seem likely that Jenny Craig is the right solution.

Page Six ran a blind this blind item yesterday stirring up gossip blogs about which major star was about to come clean about being a lesbian. Speculation was split fifty/fifty between Jodie Foster and Queen Latifah. Then late yesterday our friends at MediaTakeOut.com confirmed that QT and her longtime girlfriend Jeanette are in fact officially engaged.
