I am so excited about one of my all-time favorite childhood shows coming back to the small screen. I’m not sure how well The Munsters is going to transition from campy comedy to hour long drama..but I’m totally in. I’m pretty stoked about Portia de Rossi as Lily Munster too.

And seriously…is there anyone else alive on this planet that could play Grandpa Munster as well as Eddie Izzard?? I think NOT.

Portia de Rossi has been cast as Lily Munster in NBC’s upcoming Munsters reboot Mockingbird Lane, TVGuide.com has confirmed. The 39-year-old actress will star alongside Jerry O’Connell, who plays her husband Herman Munster, Eddie Izzard as the quick-witted grandpa and Charity Wakefield as the family’s ”plain” cousin Marilyn. Mason Cook will play Herman’s werewolf son Eddie.

Portia de Rossi was on Oprah yesterday to promote her new memoir, Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain. It was an emotional interview as the 37 year-old Portia told heartbreaking stories about struggling with anorexia and bulimia in Hollywood.

She also described how she would erratically exercise on the spot by running and jumping to try and burn off the calories from whatever she had eaten, including a few sticks of gum or some morsels at Thanksgiving with her family. 

Ladies and gentlemen, let me be the first gossip blog to introduce you to Mrs. & Mrs. Ellen and Portia DeGeneres. E & P tied the knot at their Beverly Hills home Saturday night.

Portia looked gorgeous in a backless pink tu-tu-ish dress and Ellen was very dapper in her signature feminine but masculine white pants, shirt and vest.

The intimate ceremony was attended by 20 of their closest family and friends and their two dogs. Congrats you two! My prediction is this one of the few Hollywood marriages that won’t end in divorce. Eat your heart out Anne Heche!

Ellen DeGeneres is finally going to make an honest woman out of Portia de Rossi this weekend. The cutest couple in L.A. have been planning on tying the knot since last May when the California Supreme Court ruled that same sex partners “have the right to marry”.  Ellen announced the news on her show

“It’s something that we’ve wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited,” DeGeneres, 50, gushed. “I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don’t all have the same rights,” DeGeneres said. Of the preparations, DeGeneres joked, “Planning a wedding is very stressful. It’s crazy. My gardener is now invited.”

Ellen announced that she and Portia would be getting married on her show the day after the California Supreme Court’s monumental ruling that same sex couple’s have the “right to marry.” An emotional Ellen beamed as a giddy looking Portia sat in the audience when she broke the news.
