Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were on the receiving end of some ghetto parenting tips from Snoop Dogg this weekend. Snoop appeared on the debut of Pete’s new weekly show FNMTV that premiered Friday night to share his parental wisdom with the newlyweds.

The segment was filmed at Pete and Ashlee’s home and included such parenting gems as putting the crib in the garage because, “You don’t want the baby next to you (in the bedroom) crying because you’re gonna want to knock the boots with Ashlee once she’s had the baby.”

And what kind of mentor would he be if he didn’t mention how much time you save if you just attach the nipple directly to the bottle of malt liquor? The skit ends with what we think is the best line of the entire skit. Snoop offers the newlyweds his congratulations and wishing them luck in having “a healthy beautiful little boy,” before begging them not to let the child rap because: “You two are the whitest couple on earth.”

Dunkin Donuts had to pull a Rachel Ray commercial this week because she was wearing what some right-wingers thought was a keffiyeh terrorist’s scarf. Lucky for Pete Wentz the music industry is a little more open minded and actually black and white paisley scarves.

Pete Wentz is a hopeless romantic. Petey-poo has commissioned artist Nathan Sawaya to create a ginormous bumble bee out of legos as a wedding gift for  his new wife, Ashlee Simpson. The bee-licous creations measures 26″ x 47″ x 36″ and is made from about 18,000 standard Lego bricks.

“I was commissioned to create a bee,” Sawaya recently blogged on his website. “Why a bee? Because it is romantic of course. In Hindu myth, Kama, the god of love, has a bow and arrows, and the bow string is made up of bees. In the ancient Greek world the bee symbolized the soul because they migrated in swarms. And the Roman god of love, Cupid, is often pictured with bees or being stung.

“I made this bee for a boy who wanted to give his girl a special wedding gift,” Sawaya continues. “They are a fun couple as evidenced by their Alice in Wonderland themed wedding. And didn’t Alice think she saw a bee in Through the Looking Glass? (Incidentally, she thought they were bees, but they turned out to be elephants. Alice wasn’t the brightest child.)”

The BB (big bee) took a week to create and Ashlee should be taking delivery in early June. No word on how much Pete had to cough up for this gift. How much does $18,000 legos run these days?

Pete Wentz  uses his noggin for something other than applying tons of black eyeliner and gets clever with the paparazzi Tuesday. Newly married and still refusing to talk about Ashlee Simpson’s pregnancy, Pete tries to distract the photogs and sell some outside the box product placement space at the same time.

Pete might need a hobby if he has time to hunt down the materials to make this paper plate mask before he takes his pregant wife out for ice cream and pickles.  Still, we love the creativity and would think this emo kids little ‘fun with the paps hijinks‘ was hilarious if it wasn’t for the fact that he just made some fat pornographer a ton of cash. We gotta give big props to Pete Wentz for coming clean about a dark time in his life in an effort to help others. Fall Out Boy bassist (and Ashlee Simpson’s boy) revealed that he was “completely lost and out of control” after his band finished recording their album a few years ago. Pete is currently promoting Jed Foundation’s Half Of Us campaign (a program aimed at cutting student suicide rates) and decided to tell his story to encourage young people to get profressional help when they need it.

“I got in my car. I remember I was listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and sat there and took a bunch of [anxiety drug] Ativan in a Best Buy parking lot,” Wentz says in a video for MTV’s college channel MTVU.

“And I called up my manager because I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Ativan. And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital.”

“It’s not really about keeping your head above water, it’s about feeling all right and feeling safe in your own skin,” Wentz says. “It’s not about keeping your head above water and barely keep going.”
