Anthony Bourdain Calls Paula Deen A “Diabetic Scam Artist”Posted on: January 18, 2012 | Leave a Comment
Paula Deen officially announced that she was diagnosed with diabetes three years on The Today Show this week. The minute it aired everyone in the world started hatin’ on Paula. Which really makes no sense to me. Who in the hell thinks it’s ok to eat Paula Deen-style food every day? Anyone with a lick of sense knows that just like Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster now says….”cookies are a sometimes food”. Paula Deen food is “sometimes food”. If you are dumb enough to cook Paula Deen recipes everyday for your family and feed them five pounds of butter a week then you deserve the diabetes you get. Anthony Bourdain needs to get a life, worry about himself and whatever ridiculous food he is eating on No Reservations. You might remember Anthony called Paula ‘the most dangerous woman in America’ last year. I think of it this way. Diabetes is karma’s answer to Paula profiting off her butter-laden food. Yes, she’s gonna get paid for endorsing the meds she takes, but she also has diabetes for the rest of her life now. Which means, she can’t eat the food she loves. She turned her lemons into lemonade and people are pissed off. The Travel Channel star took a swipe at the fact she is now a paid spokeswoman for diabetes medication Victoza in a sarcastic Twitter post. He said: ‘Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later.’ On drug company Novo Nordisk’s Diabetes in a New Light website, Paula, 64, talks about making simple changes to improve health, such as cooking lighter dishes and doing more exercise. She says: ‘My hope is that you can see diabetes in a new light and that you’ll get the most out of each and every day.’ However she also talks up her use of Victoza, a drug that has seen sales surge by 185 per cent in the first nine months of 2011, and which is heavily advertised on the website. Bourdain later tweeted again to deny another news website’s claim that he called her a ‘diabetic scam artist,’ saying he never used those words.
Video: Paula Deen Hit In The Head With A HamPosted on: November 24, 2009 | Comments Off
That’s right brothers and sisters. The Queen of Southern cooking took a flying ham to the head. Funny, right? I love me some Paula Deen and I wouldn’t be laughing at her if I thought she was really hurt. She’s a tough old Southern girl and I’m positive it would take more than a 5 pound ham to take her out. Paula was hit by the ham as she was volunteering at the Smithfield Foods’ mission in Atlanta Monday. In the video below you will see that she was all smiles before suddenly getting hit in face the face by a wild flying ham! Amazingly Paula did not get her nose broken during the incident. Wow. That’s got to be the most times I’ve typed the word ‘ham’ in my life.
