It’s Official…Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev Split

Which means Ian Somerhalder is single again and all is right again in the universe.

As a closet fan of  The Vampire Diaries, I was a fan of Elena and Damon as a couple in real life. I admit the ten year age difference was a bit icky…but whatever. This has been a long time coming..let’s just hope now that are only “consummate professionals” that the chemistry between them fizzles.

I guess is doesn’t really matter, the new guard has taken over on the show and the Klaus/Caroline story is much more interesting that the Elena /Salvatore brothers these days.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder‘s showmance is over. The Vampire Diaries costars, who play Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore on the CW hit series, have called it quits after more than three years of dating, a source tells Us Weekly.

The couple, who first took their romance public in 2011, are “consummate professionals,” the insider says, and “will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started.”

Last fall, Dobrev opened up to Seventeen magazine about falling for Somerhalder. “I didn’t want to be dating one of my costars — my goal on the show was to be professional,” she admitted. “But sometimes you can’t help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long — which I did for a really, really long time.”

Oh and here’s a funny tidbit…Ian tweeted this today…his heart is broken and he’s all emo and teenagery all of the sudden????

I’m a closet Vampire Diaries fan so I can tell you that Ian Somerhalder’s star is getting bigger and bigger lately with all the talk that he is the front runner to get the coveted role in 50 Shades of Grey. His girlfriend and co-star on The Vampire Diaries is also gonna blow up ….if purely just from association. Kind of like Jenna DeWan Tatum.

Last night they attended Elton John’s Oscar viewing party together last night, and while their tweets were world apart…alot of people are speculating that Nina’s tweet means something big. Like an engagement announcement is coming soon.

Nina tweeted  “This may be the most epic night of my life. No explanation necessary. I’ll leave it to the imagination :) ” 

Ian, on the other hand, tweeted, “My life is fricking complete-i just had a 5 minute conversation with Daniel Day Lewis…my hero.Wow.Life is amazing…”

Ian’s tweet leads to me to believe he may not take the role of Christian Grey. If he wants to be more of a DDL..then that is not the way to go. But then again, he does play a sexy vampire on television right now. Playing a sexy sadist on the big screen is one step up right?

Nina Dobrev Does Sexy Yoga On Conan O’Brien – Literally

I’ve come to believe the TBS promos with Conan O’Brien with the boys from The Big Bang Theory. Conan is a big star, but he’s really just a big nerd. Here is a shining example. Watch his excitement when a very pretty Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries) touches him in his sexy place.

“You’re – obviously – so beautiful and you’re in great shape,” he says while explaining how he ran into her backstage before the show and she explained to him that she does a lot of yoga.

Conan then begged her to do a move for him, and after the gorgeous 22-year-old agreed he quickly climbed right over the top of his desk to help her do a move called “the scorpion.”

Nina then stood on her head and put her feet right in Conan’s crotch; after which the host ran around the stage screaming, “Yes!”

“Best job in the world!”
