The singer told E! that the scenes in Marry The Night is a rendering of the day she thought her dreams were slipping away from her when was dropped from her first record label Island Def Jam.

She also reveals she was naked when she received the bad news, which accounts for the number of nude scenes in the video.

‘That’s probably the most honest moment in that video of everything I’ve ever done,’ she said. ‘My directorial decision was for them to just f***ing roll the cameras, because I couldn’t go in and out of the moment.’

And after Father’s day she told Vanity Fair magazine: ‘I’m happier than I’ve ever been. I’ve been in my father’s arms for two weeks, wishing [him] a Happy Father’s Day.’

Though friends describe Gaga as equally close with her outgoing, elegant mom, her primary relationship seems to be with her dad.Joe Germanotta made his fortune in hotel Wi-Fi, becoming wealthy enough to buy a duplex on the Upper West Side and send his daughters to the Convent of the Sacred Heart private school.

Joe has been Gaga’s number one supporter throughout her career. When she told her father of her plans for worldwide pop superstardom he used his money and connections to hire the best producers, to book studio time and to get Stefani in the room with record executives. In 2005, when she decided to drop out of NYU in her freshman year, Joe agreed to bankroll her for 12 months, paying the rent on her tiny fifth-floor walk-up on the Lower East Side and hauling her furniture up the stairs.

‘He is my hero,’ she has said.

It sounds like Lady Gaga is just a nice normal girl who grew up in a loving home with supportive parents that raised her with enough self confidence and initiative to be successful. Maybe that’s why she seems so odd to us. We aren’t used to celebrities and people who crave the spotlight as normal American dreamers. They are usually busted and broken and needing attention. Definitely much more interesting than football.

Kat Von D gave Lady Gaga a tattoo just a few weeks before her first album dropped.

That’s why we are getting these very planned and staged ‘natural’ pictures of Gaga in this months Bazaar. Along with this interview about things being real….

Fake is the new reality: “I don’t really view it as ‘natural,’” she explains. “I think that artifice is the new reality. It’s more about just being honest and sincere to the core of what you do. Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”

On getting tired of being Gaga: “Sometimes I do. It all really depends on my mood for the day. But I think the perception that I ‘put it on’ every day is probably not true.” In Gaga’s mind, “putting it on” is subject to interpretation. “Don’t you think that what’s on the cover of a magazine is quite artificial?” she asks. “There’s this idea that it’s all natural, but everything’s been staged to look natural. It is also an invention. It’s just that my inventions are different. I often get asked about my artifice, but isn’t fashion based on the idea that we can create a fantasy?”

On what’s expected from her: “I try to not focus on what people expect from me,” she says. “I think what has been lovely about my relationship with the public is that they expect something unexpected from me.”

Gaga makes no secret about her drug use, claiming she is an artist so it’s ok. But what’s Jamie Foxx up into? He seems the epitome of good health. Unless this big drug ‘kingpin’ is just some guy selling a little bit of weed.

Gaga and Howard Stern had a very interesting convo this morning about drugs, sex and crazy costumes.

“When you talk about getting high, I mean, you were doing some hard core drugs, you were into coke and you loved Ecstasy so much,” Stern began.

“No, not then,” Gaga interrupted. “I did later.”

However, she went on to say that “no, no way” did she do any drugs today, unless of course you count pot. Which Gaga apparently doesn’t.

“Well, come on, that’s not…” she laughed. “I really don’t do it very often. I’m really honest about it.

“My past using any drugs or dressing any certain way was never a rebellion, it was never meant to be a f–k you.”

As for what drew her to the illegal substances, then, she explained that she was simply trying to feel good—or feel anything.

“I was so unhappy,” she explained. “Yeah. I think that I was lonely and there was something about the drugs that made me feel like I had a friend…I didn’t do it with other people. I did it alone. I did it all alone in my apartment and I wrote music and you know what, I regret every line I ever did. So to any of the little sweethearts that are listening, don’t touch it, it’s the devil.”

Those who have worked with her on tour reported to me that Gaga barely ate for weeks at a time to fit into her costume,” said Halperin, who has spent 12 months investigating Gaga for his book.

“She is sick and obsessed with her weight. One friend told me, Gaga will stare at herself in the mirror for hours on end, analyzing and critiquing her body. It’s an unhealthy obsession.”

And while most people believe her outrageous outfits and heavy makeup are just part of her act, Halperin says there is a more sinister reason behind her look.

“Her lupus is far worse than she lets on,” he said of the disease, which Gaga has admitted to having. “Part of the reason she wears wigs and makeup is because here hair is falling out and she’s covered in red blotches, both side effects of the disease.”

But her weight and her health are not her only problems Halperin claims. “Her drug use started young. From heroin to cocaine and ecstasy, her friends say that she has done every drug conceivable. You name it she has done it.

“She’s morphed into this caricature called Lady Gaga, who isn’t even a real person. The girl known as Stefi to her friends and family has all but disappeared.”
