My new favorite celebrity couple, Kate Perry and Russell Brand are still going strong.

I love them for many reasons that you can read about here….but mostly because dating Russell seems to have snapped Katy out of that tacky Vegas showgirl thing she had going on.

I love this couple.

I love the fact that Katy Perry has (albeit temporarily) managed to settle down an admitted sex-addict-womanizer.

I love said serial lady-killer doting all over a non-idiot pop star.

I love all those things, but most of all I love the effect that Russell Brand has had on Katy’s tacky Las Vegas style. I mean, she looks soo great without cherries and playing cards and glitter all over her clothes.

The only thing I don’t like is that I’m 99.9% positive that this is very temporary relationship. Any day now Russell will catch the eye of another chick or start feeling smothered or some other non-commitment guy bulls**t.

It looks like a good time was had by all at Katy Perry’s Willa Wonka themed 25th birthday party this weekend. It also appears that the romance is still going hot and heavy between Katy and Russell Brand. Party guests revealed that Russell was catering to his new sweetheart’s every whim on her special night.

Katy had asked all her guests to dress in white for the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed party but did not tell them they would be doused with neon paint before the night was over. She wore a low-cut, tight sequinned white dress to the event, and had her nails painted with the faces of Oompa Loompas. The bash was held at restaurant The Beach On Sunset in West Hollywood on Saturday night and it was transformed into Willy Wonka’s factory.

A-list party guests included Taylor Swift and P. Diddy…who probably wondered why Katy was jacking his whole ‘white party’ thing.

I’ve probably already mentioned how cute I think these two are, but I have no illusions that Katy Perry and Russell Brand will have some everlasting love. But the fact that Katy has held womanizing Russell’s attention for more than a week is very impressive.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry are back from Thailand, have partied in London and now they are in gay Paris together for Fashion Week.

The smitten comedian followed the brunette singer to Paris, where she has been attending the city’s fashion week. They arrived together at a party hosted by Fendi last night, with the I Kissed A Girl star turning heads in a bright blue mini-dress and suspenders. His decision to chase after the 24-year-old comes just a day after he confessed: ‘I think I’m in love.’

They’ve been quiet about it, but ever since the VMA’s Russell Brand and Katy Perry have been seeing each other.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “When they were both in New York for the music awards Russell finally got his chance to work his charm on her. Katy knows his bad boy reputation but could not resist – especially when Russell sent her a love poem with a note attached saying, ‘Please send me a poem back.’

“Russell couldn’t stop laughing when Katy sent a photo of her boobs with the word ‘poem’ scrawled across them. The next minute Russell picked up the phone and invited her to Thailand for a secret getaway.”

Cute couple and I hope they have fun together..but lets hope Katy is just taking this for what it is. Russell Brand goes through girls faster than John Mayer.

Looks like Kanye West wasn’t the only getting his drink on and acting a fool at the MTV VMA’s Sunday night. The New York Post says Katy Perry got sucked into by whatever crazy mind control Russell Brand has to make girls  kiss him all the time.

The MTV VMA host was spotted making out with Perry at Lady Gaga’s after-party at Avenue — after joking onstage that he had the hots for her.

The voracious womanizer was seen admiring Perry’s cleavage before kissing her as they sat on a banquette. An onlooker at the Meatpacking District hot spot told Page Six, “They were sitting very close together, flirting and whispering to each other with their faces very close. Then Russell leaned in for a long kiss. It didn’t look like this was the first time. He was looking extremely pleased with himself.”

Brand has made no secret of his passion for Perry. Onstage, he joked about her tight pants and mentioned that the two were staying at the same hotel. Later, backstage, he said, “I think I might have a bit of a thing for Katy Perry.”

It was busy weekend for Perry: On Friday, a spy also caught the “I Kissed a Girl” singer locking lips with John Mayer at Gold Bar.

Really Katy Perry? Russell Brand and John Mayer…all in one weekend. You couldn’t have picked two worse womanizers if you had tried. They are both like poster children for Sex Addicts Annoymous.

I thought Katy Perry was one of the smart ones. She’s really only been linked to one long term boyfriend and stays scandal free in this tabloid world. Maybe it was just a one time adreneline fueled lost weekend.

Now that they’ve gotten rid of that pesky Paula Abdul..there’s plenty of room for fun and interesting guest judges. Yesterday (about four hours after Paula tweeted she quit) we learned that Victoria Beckham has a confirmed guest starring spot.

I don’t think the folks at AI are very upset that Paula may not be returning. They are lining up guest judges faster than you can say ‘it was pitchy’.

Katy Perry has agreed to be one-time guest judge on the ninth season of American Idol, kicking off in January, FOX executives announced on Thursday.
