So Katy Perry and John Mayer became official this week. They’ve been photographed out with John’s dad at a musical and then Wednesday night these cute pictures were taken of them at the New Jersey Rolling Stones show.

Meeting dad is pretty serious don’t you think? I wonder how that went. The polite small talk….I’m betting Katy the preachers daughter can hold up her end in the ‘meet the parents’ conversation department.

Despite John’s reputation, I think these two look cute together. Plus he doesn’t wear skinny jeans and harem pants so that’s a plus.

Get a tissue ya’ll. This is the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a while. Katy Perry joined one of her young fans, who just happens to be autistic and and AWESOME piano player, on stage last night at the Comedy Central Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism Programs.  There were tons of other performances, but according to Jon Stewart himself there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during this song.

Hosted by Jon Stewart the show raises money for autism programs, schools, and services all over the country. Other celebrity Performers include Tina Fey, Seth Rogen, Amy Poehler, Stephen Colbert, Louis CK, Bill Burr, Katy Perry, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tom Morello, Sting and many more. Sunday night’s live celebrity phone bank includes Tom Hanks, Jerry Seinfeld, Julianne Moore, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and Al Pacino.

Night of Too Many Stars airs Sunday, October 21 at 8/7c on Comedy Central.

And apparently it’s not a happy occasion.

Why do these two always look so miserable together?

the 27-year-old pop princess and the blues rock musician could barely raise a smile as they made their way out on the town. Despite their their stony faces, the on and off again duo dressed-to-the-nines for the occasion.

I guess this is what you get when you keep trying to make a booty call relationship last. They make me sad looking at them together, but I am definitely enjoying watching Katy’s style evolve from Candyland-Vegas-Girl to straight up New York hipster. She’s even rocking a Free People denim jacket in some of these pictures and don’t you know Free People has already posted these pics all over Facebook.

We’ve all summized by now that the breakdown of the Katy Perry / Russell Brand marriage was because Katy wasn’t quite ready to settle down and have lots of sari-wearing babies. But if you read between the lines of Russell’s latest interview…it sounds like he’s accusing her of having a major drug addiction.

Russell told Australia’s 60 Minutes:

“Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don’t, but if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways. I think if you’re someone who’s really into mountain biking, it would be good to go out with someone else who’s into mountain biking, and if you’re really into Eastern mysticism, go out with someone else who into Eastern mysticism. I think if you’re a devoted tennis professional and you get married to a crystal meth addict, you might have trouble… I’ve been in a lot of trouble.”

Interesting how John Mayer decided not to accompany Katy Perry to last nights MTV VMA’s. He did however, pick her up after the awards show for a dinner and an after party. From the sounds of it, they had a nice romantic dinner but the night ended in an argument after booze was added in the mix. Maybe the Katy-likes-to-party-too-much-stories are true.

It’s hard to believe that any girl could out casual-relationship John Mayer…but it sounds like that’s exactly what’s happening. Girls just wanna have fun.

Wearing her black Elie Saab dress with sequin and leather detailing from the night, the couple were seen sneaking out of Madeo Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills. John looked dapper for the occasion, wearing a more dressy outfit consisting of a black jacket, white T-shirt and grey trousers to complement his girlfriend’s floor-length gown.  Nestled in the back seat of the car, the couple mostly looked ahead and made no contact as they made their way off to another party.

However after their romantic meal things apparently turned sour between the pair when they arrived at The House of Hype Power Players dinner presented by Esquire Magazine at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The couple reportedly entered the hotel together, but strategically had friends walk between them to avoid being photographed together.  They arrived at the bash at 11pm, opting not to join fellow diners. 

Instead, they decided to sit in an adjoining ballroom to wait for the after party to begin. Sitting at a private table with a 10-strong entourage, Katy was said to have ordered a bottle of Jameson whiskey and ginger ale.According to reports, the air between the couple grew incredibly tense throughout the evening and John was seen trying to calm his girlfriend down. A fight between the couple apparently broke out forcing John to allegedly take his new girlfriend outside into a private area.
