Everyone is all abuzz about Kate Gosselin’s new hair do. The girls on The View were falling all over her and telling how cute it is.

But it doesn’t look new to me at all. Looks like someone just smoothed down the cowlick then took a curling iron to that big flat-curtain-like part that used to fall in her face.

The mom we all love to hate has turned down a $400,000 offer from Hugh Hefner to pose for Playboy magazine. At least there is a limit to her greed; nudity and degradation.

Kate Gosselin’s eight kids already think she’s a great playmate – just not the kind Hugh Hefner has in mind! According to an insider, the reality mom turned down $400,000 to appear in Playboy. “Hugh sent her a letter, but Kate was totally mortified and threw it away! She didn’t think it was appropriate because of the children.” Still, Kate has no problem showing off her body, adds the insider. “She’s proud of the way she looks.”

I’m actually not surprised Kate turned Hef down..she would require a whole lot more cake to appear in his magazine. Doesn’t he know who she is?

I am surprised, however, that Playboy keeps scraping the bottom of the celebrity barrel lately.

As expected the big announcement on Jon & Kate Plus 8 this week was that they are officially splitting. They filed papers early Monday afternoon at the Bucks County Courtroom in PA.

Jon spent Father’s Day alone with the kids over the weekend, and told reporters that he “had no idea” where Kate was. Other sources are reporting that Jon is definitely moving to New York where he can wear his Ed Hardy gear in peace. He is soo rebelling against a controlling wife and having a mid-life crisis at the same time.

Let me preface this by saying it’s not really as bad as it looks. While waiting for a television interview with her 8 kids, Kate Gosselin is caught on camera denying one of the older kids water as she drinks from a bottle then quickly  puts it away.

Maddy is seen on the video begging for a drink in the seconds before they  go live to interview…but instead of using those seconds to get her kid a sip of water..Kate calls for someone to bring her a drink instead. In her defense..she did half-ass try to reach for the bottle in time for Maddy to get  a sip..but I suppose being ready for the camera was more important.

Maddy is heard telling her mom that she is mean because she was the one that was thirsty. Sure it was probably only a three minute interview and the kids were taken care of immediately  afterwards…but  Kate …if you don’t want things like this posted all over the internet…then maybe next time you go thirsty and take care of your little cash machines first.

While Jon Gosselin is off shopping and spending several thousand dollars at Barney’s…Kate is taking the kids to the beach …solo.Kate and ‘the bodyguard’ Steve Nelid took the 8 to  Bald Head Island, North Carolina this weekend.

Don’t you think the kids are wondering why “Uncle Steve” is with them all the time instead of daddy?

I’m so over these two acting a fool and dragging the kids into it that I decided to post these pictures of Kate in a bikini to humble her a little bit. Sure…I suppose you could say she looks to have eight kids…but something is definitely up with that belly button.

Let’s see if Kate Gosselin can spin this one to her advantage. She and her pushover husband are being investigated for possibly violating child labor laws. Earlier today Bonnie Fuller, who just happens to be US Weekly’s editor, posted a convincing editorial on this issue to the Huffington Post .

Have Jon and Kate Gosselin invented a new form of 21st century child abuse? I’d say so. Come on — would you allow cameras to be following your kids every single move on 40 episodes a year of national TV?

There’s only 52 weeks in the calendar. That means these kids barely catch a break, i.e. a few days without camera crews camping inside their home.

t’s a real life “Truman Show” with eight voiceless victims instead of just one.

I’m not saying that children should never be on TV or in show business. There’s a long cultural history of showbiz kids dating back to vaudeville days through infamous child stars: Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, Jay North of Dennis the Menace, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and all the other Mouseketeers, the Olsen twins, Jodi Foster, Sarah Jessica Parker, Brooke Shields, Danny Bonaduce and the Partridge Family members, the Brady Bunch, and now Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and on and on.

Yes, some of these young stars were terribly exploited Judy Garland-style and grew up to crash and burn. But others went on to perfectly successful adult lives and careers. Being young, talented and pushed into in the public spotlight is not necessarily a recipe for exploitative disaster.

But, kids on movie and professional TV sets are subject to child labor laws. Children in reality shows are NOT, a point made forcefully by the Gosselin 8’s Aunt Jodi and Uncle Kevin Krieder, Kate Gosselin’s brother and sister-in-law who’ve been busy blogging, and then blabbing, about how vile the Gosselins are, especially Kate, to celebrity newsweeklies and on CBS’s “Early Show.”

Kate Gosselin continues to get flamed for her WifeZilla behavior, this time by her sister-in-law Jodi’s sister. Jodi’s sister started blasting Kate over a year ago…way before all the infedelity started and before we all knew Kate was more than just your run of the mill ball-buster. Here’s just a few paragraph’s worth of the hatred being bred at Aunt Jodi’s sister’s blog.

I just wanted to thank all of those who have already voiced their support for Kevin and Jodi. They would not have spoken out unless they felt that it was absolutely necessary in order so save the Gosselin children from a horrific situation. I’m sickened to hear that Figure 8 is continuing to film and TLC and everyone else involved will profit off of the destruction of a family. Kate will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She has a team of people protecting her and helping her spin her lies to keep this nightmare going. She is focused on her new “career” and she won’t let anyone stand in her way, including her husband and children.

I’m hoping that the upcoming stories will help connect the dots and shed some light on why I came forward last year to voice my concerns for the situation. Although the revelations are sad, and in some ways unbelievable, the children are living a life that is much worse than will be printed in any publication.

It’s true that Kate’s focus hasn’t changed. Doing the show was never about “just making ends meet” or “just paying for college”. Kate did her research and set her plan into motion before the sextuplets were even born. She is using the show–although it’s far from reality–as a means to other opportunities–her new “career”. Kate will never be satisfied. It will never be enough for her. They have reportedly made millions so far and she will keep going without any thought of what this is doing to her family.
