Kat Von D wants you to think it was her decision to not renew her show LA Ink but it most definitely a case of being cancelled by her network.

TLC said in a statement that the “current season of LA Ink will be its last. The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D’s journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles”

Kat Von D said that the decision to end the show was her own. “I love how me deciding not to continue doing LA Ink turns into [the show] being ‘cancelled,’” she tweeted . “Thanks, TLC. Regardless of everything, I remain grateful.”

So now the whole engagement breaking and getting back together with Jesse James makes sense. She needed press to save her show.

For his part, Jesse says the break-up was his fault and he is going to get his sh*t together. “Sometimes you are only given one chance in life. It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her.”

I love me some Kat Von D. In fact, I am watching the premiere of LA Ink as I type this. But homegirl has serious commitment issues. It’s break-up after break-up with her. And this one is still so fresh she can’t even deal with talking about it as she promotes her show.

You can read the details of what happened on Good Day LA here, but basically she bailed when the show’s presenters mentioned her very recent break-up with Vanilla Gorilla and the fact that she recently had his face tattooed on her body.

Good Morning LA host Jeff spoke with MailOnline about the ‘unfortunate and slightly comical’ incident which he said ‘left us hanging in the studio.’

‘I was in the process of introducing her and we were airing the clip,’ he explained.’ She was standing in the wings waiting to come out but when she heard me mention the break-up she removed her microphone and just walked out.’

Despite reporting the news of her split with Jesse on Twitter earlier this week, Von D was not happy when Jeff highlighted that she had had the etching done just before the break-up.

Jeff said the entire production crew and the hosts of the show couldn’t understand why she bolted.

Last night Kat took to her Facebook page, and wrote a long statement, where she reflected on her dramatic day.

Under the title ‘What can I say? I suck,’ she conceded: ‘I’m usually strong enough to not let things get to me like this.

‘But today there seems to be no way of escaping my thoughts.’

She added: ‘I’m not going to flatter myself in thinking I’m interesting enough for the press not to pry into gossip-related questions so its [sic] unfair of me to expect them to respect that.

‘But even though it’s not in my nature to cancel on people, it IS in my nature to admit when I’m week.’

Despite her split from James, which Kat announced on Twitter earlier this week, she told TMZ she has no intention of getting her tattoo of him removed.

She said: ‘I love my tattoo… It’s more than just a portrait, it has a lot of meaning.’

Despite rumors this week that Jesse James and Kat Von D called off their wedding, the couple say that they are still in love and moving forward.

“That is absolutely not true,” says James, 42, bristling at Internet reports that he’s split from the LA Ink star. “We’re still going strong. Things are completely good with us.”

Adds Von D: “That’s the furthest thing from the truth.”

In fact, the pair, who wereengaged in January, are planning a summer wedding on the one-year anniversary of when they started dating, James reveals.

“That day can’t come soon enough!” he says.

I have a slight obsession with Kat Von D. So much so that I might even read her new book The Tattoo Chronicles. Yeah, maybe not. But I do love her.

And I love this set of pictures of her from a book signing in Berlin this week. She’s fun to look at from all angels. You never know where you might find a new bit of art.

Admit it. Even if you aren’t a tattoo girl you gotta love her independent spirit and the juxtaposition of over the top pin-up girliness next to the dirty street tats.
