David Letterman Surveillance Camera Sex TapePosted on: October 21, 2009 | Comments Off
Here’s a tip to anyone getting their swerve on after hours at the office/studio. Make sure you know where the surveillance cameras are and avoid them like the plague. David Letterman owned up to cheating on his wife with a co-worker in the most dignified and mature way, but his public apologies and embarrassment might not be enough to get him off the hook. Because now…there is a TAPE. It’s one thing for everyone to know he boinked a young co-worker..quite another for everyone to SEE it. A studio surveillance tape reportedly caught the 62-year-old star and a much-younger female co-worker in a compromising position – and it could shatter Letterman’s already troubled marriage, say sources. What’s more, the tape could persuade worried CBS execs to hammer the final nail into the talk-show host’s late-night career – and could play a key role in the trial of the producer who allegedly tried to blackmail him. “If the tape makes its way into the criminal case, it’ll explode his marriage to smithereens,” revealed a close source. “Dave apparently didn’t know the location of the security cameras at his Late Show studio.”
Video: David Letterman Publicly Apologizes To WifePosted on: October 6, 2009 | Comments Off
David Letterman apologized to his wife, Regina Lasko, on The Late Show last night for having sex with female employees that ended up landing him in him in the middle of a huge scandal. “She has been horribly hurt by my behavior,” Letterman said to his audience, “and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it’s your responsibility, you try to fix it. And at that point, there’s only two things that can happen: either you’re going to make some progress and get it fixed, or you’re going to fall short and perhaps not get it fixed, so let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me.” But in true Dave form, he cut the seriousness with humor, saying, “Wow, that weekend went fast.” Another audience member said, “He made a joke about loving the fall weather in New York, and about how it was getting mighty chilly. He was making fun of the situation. If it’s chilly here, you can only imagine how chilly things were at home.”
David Letterman Victim Of $2 Million Extortion PlotPosted on: October 2, 2009 | Comments Off
Somebody tried to shake down David Letterman for a whopping $2 million, and he Nipped. It. In. The. Bud. On his CBS Late Show Thursday Dave admitting he was the victim of a $2 million extortion attempt and that he had had sexual relations with female members of staff. It started three weeks ago when Dave received a package whose sender claimed to have information about alleged sexual activity between the 62-year-old star and employees of his program. The sender threatened to go public with the news if he/she did not receive $2 million. “This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life,” Letterman said as the cameras rolled. “I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury.” In his testimony, Letterman said, he admitted to engaging in sexual relationships with staff members. “My response to that is, yes I have. Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would. I feel like I need to protect these people – I need to certainly protect my family.” Having initially contacted the Manhattan District Attorney’s special prosecution bureau, Letterman helped participate in a sting operation, eventually meeting and handing a counterfeit $2 million check to the alleged extortionist – who was arrested on Thursday.
