Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge last appeared on stage together in December 2004. The band split early in 2005 due to the Hoppus/DeLonge feud stating that the band was on an “indefinite hiatus”.

Mark and Tom decided to make amends after Travis was severely burned in a plane crash last year. Although Rolling Stone confirms that the boys will be there and be playing nice together….no one knows just what exactly they will be doing. Maybe they will surprise us all and rock the house.

The punk trio will appear at this Sunday’s ceremony… as presenters. A Grammy rep confirmed to Rock Daily that blink-182 will take the stage in some capacity, but wouldn’t elaborate on the details.

Doctors told Trav that he could speed his body’s recovery process if his protein came from animal sources. Sounds a bit fishy to me, but I suppose when you are covered in burns you’d eat cement at every meal if you thought it would get you better faster.

He said: ‘I need protein from food rather than just protein supplements. I changed my diet. I would do anything I possibly could if they said like, ‘There’s a possibility you might heal faster if you do eat meat or just change your eating habits.’ So I did. I don’t regret it at all, I feel so much better.’

His first priority being to get well enough to get out of the treatment center and hold his kids, he’s doing what the doctor ordered. Let’s just hope PETA keeps their vegan noses out of his decision.

He added to Us Weekly magazine: ‘I’m so anxious to get out of here. I’ve just been in surgery after surgery. I have third degree burns basically from my feet up to my waist and both hands. One of my hands was second degree burns and one was third degree burns. I’m trying to have a quick recovery and play the drums again and be able to hold my kids again.

Of course we are all glad to hear that he and DJ AM are going to be ok. But what I really help but wonder is if this near death experience will drive Travis back into the crazy stripper looking arms of Shanna Moakler?

Lt. Jason Shumpert of the South Congaree Police Department says it was obvious that Travis was in a lot of pain, but he was also concerned about the other on board the plane. “He just kept saying, ‘That’s my friends in the plane, that’s my friends in the plane,’” Shumpert said.

Of course by now you know that the pilot and co-pilot died of smoke inhalation and burns  and Chris Barker and Charles Still died from impact injuries.

“It was divine intervention that they got out,” he said. “They should be commended for being able to get out and keep their heads together.” They said the plane went down,” Shumpert recalled. “They didn’t say how or if they knew. Once it went down, they were able to slide down the wing of the plane, and they jumped on each other to put fires on each other out and rolled around on the ground.”

There are reports out there from the first emergency services personnel that state that if Travis and DJ AM had not leaped out of the plane and started extinguishing themselves, they would have died as well.

Dr. Fred Mullins of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors’ Hospital in Augusta said at a press conference that former Blink 182 drummer Barker, 32, and DJ Am (real name: Adam Goldstein), 35, are being treated for second- and third-degree burns.  Mullins says recovery from such burns can take as long as a year but says that the men suffered no other injuries, adding: “Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn’t suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected.”

All families involved in the horrific plane have requested privacy for time to grieve and come to terms with this tragedy. This means if you live in Augusta, Georgia stay the hell away from the Joseph M. Still Burn Center. If you show up there looking for an autograph Shanna Moakler just might kick your ass.

A local resident was driving down the highway next to the airport when he saw a huge “fireball” go across the road. William Owens said it took a few seconds for him to process that it was actually an airplane.

According to Owens, two men (presumably Travis and DJ AM) were running around and stripping down to extinguish themselves. He said he asked the men if there was anyone else on board the plane and they told him there had been four more with them. “We turned to the jet to try and see if there was anything we could do, but immediately, there was nothing anyone could do,” Owens said.

DJ AM was so badly burned he had to airlifted out, but Travis was stable enough to be driven in an ambulance.

Officials said the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. The plane hurtled off the end of a runway and crashed through antennas and a fence. It came to rest on an embankment across a five-lane highway and was engulfed in flames, said Debbie Hersman, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board.

Two other passengers – Chris Baker, 29, of Studio City, Calif., and Charles Still, 25, of Los Angeles – died, as did pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, according to the county coroner.

The plane was headed for Van Nuys, California after Travis and DJ AM performed a free concert together under the name TRVSDJ-AM in Columbia, Georgia Friday night. Stayed tuned for more news as it comes in.

“I’m not quite sure who would start such a sick rumor, even if it was done as a joke. I am happily laying next to my husband who is alie and well and it brings me great pleasure to stop a rumor as horrific as that. It is indeed FALSE.”

We wouldn’t say it was a horrific rumor. Childish internet hoax, yes. Horrific? No.  These two should be thanking the bored kid that started the rumor for (sort of) keeping them relevant.

Turn speakers up!…Last night on November 13th famous drummer Travis Barker was found dead in his garage. “He was found in his garage coming home from a dinner/award ceremony.” said reporter Tom Burry.
Investigators are not sure of how Former +44 drummer yet died or they are not telling the public the full truth yet.
Travis’s wifes exact words “everyone in the world has someone special who has died in there life. Maybe it hasn’t happen yet but please pray for Travis and my family. I would appreciate it and whoever did this to Travis is a sick! man.”

Don’t start freaking out yet kids. This smells beyond made up to us. And we have great noses! I wouldn’t count some teenager MySpace page as a credible source. But the crazy made up story that’s burning up the internet is the most interesting thing going on today.

Shanna recently attended the HER Energy Drink Luau, a benefit for the Nicole Brown Foundation at L.A.’s Playboy Mansion, and told People magazine that she was devastated that her relationship with Barker is over (again).

“We separated, and for me it’s very disappointing, I consider him the love of my life. I think the demise of a marriage is like a death, and there is a mourning that goes with it. It’s devastating.”

This doesn’t bode well for the rest of us. If these two can’t make it, is there hope for any of us?
