I say sort of confirmed because the although we had two major media outlets reporting the story…it’s coming from OK! Magazine and Us Weekly. And although these two publications aren’t as sleazy as Star or The Enquirer..they do get things wrong from time to time. But I hope this time this story is true. I think these two make a great couple. But it does seem very soon after Ryan’s split with Scarlett Johansson, with whom Sandra is supposed to be good friends with. But maybe her friendship with Ryan comes first. Here’s what OK! has to say about it in this week’s print issue.

A source confirms that Sandra, 46, invited the newly single Ryan, 34, and he quickly accepted. “Sandra planned all along to spend New Year’s at the restaurant with friends,” says the insider. “And she was thrilled that Ryan accepted her invitation to join in.”

They turned to each other in their time of need – Sandra had been talking to heartbroken Ryan on the phone to console him after his recent split from Scarlett. And she obviously has the healing touch.

The co-stars were friends even before teaming up to film their hit movie The Proposal in 2008. “I met Sandra through my producing partner about 11 years ago, and we’ve been good friends ever since,” says Ryan. “I never thought we’d do a film together, but it worked out.” In fact, they quickly became such good friends that Ryan says, “We vacation together.”

“I always say that chemistry is something impossible to manufacture,” he says. “The fact that you’re friends doesn’t necessarily equate to great chemistry. So we learned early on that we had it and I was so grateful for that. It’s like one of the few magical things about film that still exists. here’s no way to manipulate that. It’s either there magically or it’s not…”

The eyewitness adds that Sandra and Ryan sat next to each other throughout the evening. “By the way Sandra was glued to Ryan’s every word, they sure seem to be taken with each other.

“It was great to see Sandra laughing and having fun, and Ryan did a great job helping her relax and enjoy herself…”

People magazine released their Best of 2010 list today.

As much as I want the paps to leave her alone for a minute…I love seeing pictures of these two together.

Take a sneak peek inside the gorgeous New Orleans home that Sandra Bullock is going to be raising her new little boy in. Sandra has already moved herself and baby Louis into the historic Victorian mansion in the Garden District.

The mansion, known as the Koch-Mays house, was built in the 1860s. It boasts 6,615 square feet, five bedrooms, four and a half baths, ornate chandeliers, and a lagoon-like pool in the backyard. Bullock bought the house for $2.25 million last June with her now-estranged husband, Jesse James. (She filed for divorce from James in April.)

These pics are from a real estate sight and were taken before Sandra bought it. I’m guessing her furnishing will be a bit less stuffy, more modern and comfortable.

It looks like cheating husband scandal or no, Sandra Bullock is going forward with her plans to take up residence in the city of her new adopted baby boys birth. Sandy purchased a $2.25 million home on Coliseum Street in New Orleans and movers have already been spotted hauling her furniture into the house.

She told People, “New Orleans is his city, and he is going to know it inside and out. Without the spirit of the people who live there and take care of the city and honor its traditions, its love for music, its love for life, take those people out and you don’t have why I love New Orleans so much.”

How cool is Sandra Bullock this week? Now that we know the adoption is real and was not a planned PR stunt….but it was serendipitous that she had a silver lining to this whole hot mess Vanilla Gorilla pulled her down into.

Not only did she manage to hide an adoption during the Oscar race when the scrutiny was intense, she handled the humiliation of being cheated on with the trashiest of women with a grace that most of us can only hope to achieve one day. She announced the news of her adoption on her terms..when she was ready.

Hear that other whiny celebrities? You can have a personal life. You can rise above it and be saint-like when you talk about your triflin-cheating-scumbag-ex-husband.

“I really don’t know how our paths will intersect in the future, but the father I have known Jesse to be..is one that I hope Louis can experience one day, no matter how Jesse and I go on with our lives.”

She was waaay too good for him. He doesn’t deserve this kind of respect. But good for her for taking the high road.
