I’ve never watched Desperate Housewives so I am unfamiliar with the gossip and drama surrounding the show and cast. So when I read that Nicollette Sheridan is suing the series creator for firing her and then hitting her I was shocked.

The actress is suing Marc Cherry for assault and battery, gender violence, and wrongful termination… for more than $20 million.

Sheridan claims Cherry struck her after she complained about being fired, but that he had long before been “behaving in an extremely abusive and aggressive manner toward the individuals who work on the show,” according to legal papers TMZ obtained.

On September 24, 2008, Cherry allegedly assaulted Sheridan after she questioned him about the show’s script. The lawsuit claims he “took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head.”

That’s Marc in this picture with the rest of the cast. Not that I’m saying Nic isn’t telling the truth..but he looks like a soft, pasty butterball that wouldn’t hurt a fly. Then again…it is always the quiet ones that turn out to be serial killers.

I don’t know if this is good news or bad news for Desperate Housewives fans, but Nicollette Sheridan will definitely be leaving this show at the end of this season.

“She had a great time on the show and is looking forward to her next project. Her final episode doesn’t air until April.”

No word on if ABC plans to kill off Edie or if they will let her leave gracefully.
