Here’s the run down of the whole Nicolas Cage domestic violence arrest.

Nic and the wife were having your average run of the mill married couple drunk fight on the streets of New Orleans last night. A conscientious cab driver called the police and then Nic proceeded to drunkenly scream at the police officers and literally taunted them into arresting him.

Later, Dog the Bounty Hunter posted  his $11K bond and of course Beth was all over Twitter bragging about it.

Nic and the misses were fighting over the address of the Cage’s rented New Orleans home. Don’t judge. Who among us has NOT had that sort of drunk fight with out significant other?

I love Nicolas Cage so..soo…soooo much. He is adorably wacky and doesn’t live in our reality and that’s just awesome. Nick recently told The Sun that he refuses to eat animals whose sex lives he can’t respect. Seriously. Maybe Nick has a touch of the raging OCD that we heard about from Megan Fox yesterday.

Although if you take a minute and really think about it..there is some sort of strange logic to it.
“I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex,” Cage tells the tabloid, who at various points refers to the star as “oddball actor,” “Wacky Cage,” “bonkers” and “eccentric.” Cage feels fish and birds are “very dignified” in their sexual pursuits. “But pigs, not so much. So I don’t eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl.”

“I love all animals,” Cage says. The Sun points out he sports a tattoo of a lizard wearing a top hat and once owned an octopus as a pet. The 46-year-old also purchased a two-headed snake while filming ‘Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call – New Orleans,’ a movie that features a notoriously strange scene with iguanas.

“I met the snake and said, ‘Maybe this will be my bodyguard in New Orleans.’”

The first trailer for the superhero comedy, ‘Kick-Ass‘, starring Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson and Chrisopher Mintz – Plasse hit the net yesterday. it looks hilarious. Especially since it stars Nic Cage and he is a superhero freak and he is super broke. Broke Nic is playing a father to one of the “superheroes”.

Here’s the plot of the movie:Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.

The movie’s scheduled release date is April 16, 2010.

How the hell does this happen?? Nicolas Cage owes over $6 million in back taxes to the IRS and currently has his $3.5 million New Orleans mansion as well as his $35 million Hollywood home up for sale.

Nics tax problems stem from unpaid income taxes for the year 2007. Just a few months ago he settled another IRS debt ..paying $666,000 in penalties for “improperly deducted personal expenses.” That means he got caught cheating on his taxes so the IRS decided to dig deeper..dude is going to be getting audited for the next twenty years.

And when we say house, we mean castle. The Ghost Rider star just purchased this 18th Century castle near Bath, England. His new digs sits on 60 acres and comes with two cottages and a ruined chapel on the property. What a fantastic place for little Kal-El to grow up, huh?
