Melanie Brown must be making some change from her various and odd jobs since appearing on Dancing with the Stars. She recently turned down a $1.85 million dollar offer to pose nude in Playboy magazine. Although Mel B is the current celebrity model for Ultimo lingerie, she says she’ll never get naked for Hef.

She tells Access Hollywood, “No, I’m not going to do it.” But least you think she’s a prude, she adds, “There is (an exhibitionist side to me) – in my bedroom, late at night for hours on end!”

Although I totally respect her decision to take a higher road, I think adding that last bit about going at it all night was waay too much info. Do we really need the visual image of Scary Spice is getting busy all night long with that strange looking hubby of hers?

Eddie Murphy wants Melanie Brown to stop telling people what an a**hole he is. Eddie is threatening legal action against his former girlfriend accusing her of extortion and defamation. Eddie’s legal team have issued a cease and desist against Mel B in an effort to get her to stop using his name during interviews. Can he really do that? Eddie says Mel has made “disseminating, disparaging negative and defamatory statements” and making “unreasonable extortionate demands” regarding the care and child support of their daughter Angel Iris.

We think Ed is just pissed that Melanie has demanded that he buy her a $9 million home in Malibu and allow her to live in with their child for the next 18 years. And she will probably get it.

In a statement released by his rep Eddie claims that he “acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy.”

Is he kidding with this lame ass statement? Someone please give him a cookie for doing the right thing nearly one year after he should have. In any case, little Angel must have garnered some mad cash, check out her mum celebrating over the weekend.

Melanie Brown hasn’t let child birth or paternity issues stop her from hitting the hot spots this week. Mel B and her new mommy breasts have been spotted out this week at the China White Club in London and also meeting up with former Spice-Mates Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham to celebrate the newly blonde David Beckham’s birthday.

It’s good that Mel is out trying to enjoy herself and not letting the fact that her new baby’s father has done everything to deny this baby short of taking a DNA test on the Maury Povich Show. Melanie told Extra this week that not only is the baby Eddie Murphy’s, that she was planned and her message to Eddie is ‘be responsible.’

Adding to her case is the fact that little Angel Iris was born on Eddie’s birthday. Coincidence or cosmic sign?

Melanie Brown Names Baby After Eddie Murphy

Melanie Brown has finally given her new baby a name, Angel Iris Murphy Brown. Being British she probably didn’t realize that Murphy Brown was 90’s sit-com famous for Candice Bergin’s tough single mom character. You can bet your sweet bippy that Murphy Brown wouldn’t have given her baby the name of the man that denied being her daddy. Mel B added the “Murphy” in to her new daughters name because she still insists that Eddie Murphy is the father.

“Angel, as she was my little angel through my pregnancy,” she said. “Iris, as it’s my grandma’s name, Murphy because he’s the dad and Brown because I’m the mum!”

Sounds like Mel B is pretty certain that Eddie M is the daddy. Let’s hope so, what a pain to have to file for a legal name change before you are six months old.

Melanie Brown Welcomes Baby Girl

Former Spice Girl Mel B welcomed a new baby girl Monday afternoon. Melanie Brown, who claims that Eddie Murphy is the father, was taken to the hospital late Monday and the unnamed baby girl was born just after midnight.

Baby Brown, as they are calling her until she gets a real name, shares a birthday with her funny man daddy. Melanie and Eddie had a whirlwind romance last year that ended with Mel B getting knocked up, dumped and slammed on national television when Eddie laughed at the notion that he was father of Mel’s baby and said he would demand paternity tests.
