Way to go Matt Lauer. He did not let Dina Lohan off the hook the morning when he interviewed her on The Today Show. After Dina complained about how harsh Lindsay’s sentence was in the first place, he  prodded her noting that there were some observers who thought the 24-year-old actress had this coming to her because of bad behavior.

Most of my friends think I’m nuts for watching The Today Show every day..but Matty L.’s interview are like entertainment gold. Remember the Tom Cruise Glib-ness?

“I think that’s all propaganda and what people are reading,” she told him. “As you know, you’re in the business of entertainment, so I think a lot of it is pre-orchestrated and you’re reading things that are not based on fact.”

Lauer also asked her about a belief that her daughter was not well-served by those around her, including her parents.

“As a parent, you have to let her go a little bit,” she said. “When she went out to Los Angeles when she was 19, I had to let her go and let her live and fall and fail and survive. Without failure, there’s no success. I was there in close proximity, but you can’t make your child not go out and go to a club and not get behind the wheel of a car. I certainly don’t condone any of that behavior.”

She said she had put her daughter in drug rehab the first time, and argued with Lauer over how many times Lindsay had been in drug treatment.

She said her daughter’s life has been under a microscope because of tabloid interest.

“You can’t blame it all on the tabloids,” Lauer said. “She’s made some wrong decisions.”

Lohan said Lindsay will be coming to New York. California is “a wonderful state,” she said, but “it’s a different game you play there, the court system is a little different.”

I have a teensy crush on Matt Lauer just like every other woman who watches The Today Show. But day-am. When will this man learn?

He reports on sex-addicted celebrities that get caught every day but yet he still can’t keep it in his pants.

Matt and his wife Annette Roque filed for divorce back in 2006, but she took his sorry ass back and then had another kid with him to boot. No word on whom he was caught cheating with, but he’s been seen out apartment hunting around New York the past week or so.

“I heard he and Annette are breaking up. I was not shocked to hear that. But it’s very sad,” Lauer’s ex-wife Nancy Alspaugh tells the magazine. Roque and Lauer did file for divorce back in 2006 but later reconciled and have three children together — Jack, 8, and Romy, 6 and Thijs (pronounced “Tice”), 2.

Reason number 12, 345 that men are different that women. Have you ever seen a female celebrity rockin’ the same swim suit…two years apart? I think not. In fact, in just one five day vacation we recently saw the gorgeous Katherine Heigl in no less than four different bikinis.

NBC has some serious damage control to do. Today Show golden boy and super stud (see picture below) Matt Lauer’s alledged serial cheating has finally caught up with him. His wife of eight years,  Annette Roque Lauer, had filed for legal separation last month, but recently withdrew her petition. What is going on in the Lauer household to prompt all the flipflopping? TMZ.com reports that sources inside the network are on high alert to manage the story, could they have gotten to Mrs. Lauer?

One source at a rival broadcast network tells TMZ that NBC is deeply worried that a messy break-up, especially involving the couple’s two kids, and a third on the way, could damage Lauer’s squeaky clean image.

HWB is a huge fan of The Today Show and refuses to believe that sweet man is a cheater.
