According to my friends on Facebook…you either thought Madonna nailed it last night or you regret wasting 20 minutes of your precious time watching it. Love it or hate it, she put on a BIG show with A-list guests perfectly suited for a big stadium and she pulled it off effortlessly.

The only hiccup came when she nearly tripped climbing up the bleachers on stage and of course, what everyone is talking about this morning….MIA flipping the bird on camera.

The show started by tons of Roman soldiers pulling Madge out on the field in a huge Viking boat…it was great….after she Vogued her little heart out, she lip synched to Music …then was joined on stage by LMFAO and ended up on one of the groups shoulders before they went into Party Rock Anthem and danced like hamsters.

During her new song, Give Me All Your Luvin she was joined on stage by Nicki Minaj and MIA and did a Toni Basil Mickey style thing. That’s when MIA decided to flip off the country. We haven’t seen this chick on a big scale since she did that pregnant thing on the Grammy’s and she says FYou to the world. Nice.

The entire thing was validated and saved when Cee Lo Green came out to do Like A Prayer….he SHUT IT DOWN.

So say what you will about Madonna…if she can’t stay young and hip forever she will keep on collaborating with the young hotness to make it so.

Last night the NFL confirmed the worst-kept secret in the music and sports business…Madonna will play the halftime show at Super Bowel XLVI on February 5th, 2012.

Madge will make her Super Bowl debut in an extravaganza that will be “imagined” by Cirque du Soleil and her longtime choreographer/creative director Jamie King.

The game is scheduled for the first Sunday in February at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and the halftime booking continues a recent trend of inviting global superstars to rock the biggest TV event of the year. Madonna follows in the footsteps of last year’s entertainment, the Black Eyed Peas, as well as recent gigs by Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, U2, Paul McCartney and Prince.

Why is the queen deigning the sports crowd with her presence at the Super Bowl? The event is just two days before her English romantic drama W.E. hits movie theaters. Also…don’t be surprised if her as-yet-untitled 12th studio album and the first single from it drop around the same time.

In more Madonna news; Singer M.I.A. recently confirmed that she and Nicki Minaj have collaborated with Madonna on a new song reportedly titled “Give Me All Your Love,” which leaked last month.

If nothing else, Madonna is consistent. After the video of her dissing a fan for bringing her hydrangeas at the Venice Film Festival went viral, she put a self-deprecating and also screw-you spin on it and used it to her advantage.

Yesterday she posted this “apology love letter” to hydrangeas. It’s not the apology you’d get from any other celebrity…but it’s perfectly Madonna. And I love it. She apologizes to NO ONE. NO ONE. Not fans. Not flowers.

In case you haven’t noticed, Robert Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice, is making a respectable come back. He’s working on some decent music down in Florida these days and he has this interesting house-flipping show on the DIY network cleverly called The Vanilla Ice Project. He is also starring in the British reality show Dancing on Ice. Okay, maybe the ice-skating show isn’t going to garner him any street cred, but you should really check out his DIY show. it’s fun to watch his tattooed crew mack out this mini-mansion somewhere in the swanky part of Florida.

So to promote all this new stuff he’s got going on, he is dredging up the short time he spent banging Madonna back in the day. He claims he is the one that ended the relationship because he was upset over her coffee table book Sex. Which he appeared in..so hello? Pot? This the kettle…you are black.

“She was older than me and a great lover,” Vanilla Ice (real name Robert Van Winkle) told the British tabloid News Of The World (via IMDB). But the eight month relationship came to a halt after the publishing of her coffee table book, ‘Sex,’ for which he posed.

“But I broke up with her after she printed that book because I was hurt to be an unwitting part of this slutty package,” Van Winkle revealed. “It was disgusting and cheap. We were in a relationship yet it looked like she was screwing all these other people.”
