The ever graceful Liv Tyler has opened up about the end of her five year marriage to British musician Royston Langdon and how she is still struggling with the grief. She spilled her guts in the October issue of UK Harper’s Bazaar.

“For the first time in my life, it’s so much harder for me to get up and brush [off] my knees. I am feeling the pain and the loss of everything. I don’t feel calm and collected. I feel neurotic, like Woody Allen. I’m a Cancer and sometimes I just feel like a crab without a shell.”

Liv is usually so serene that at times I’ve wondered if she takes handfuls of Xanax on a daily basis, but ending her marriage last Spring has knocked her on her butt. Still, she seems to be handling it with her trademark calmness and maturity that is so uncharacteristic of a rock stars daughter.

“I am trying to just let myself feel it,” she says. “I think you have to mourn and you have to feel that pain. I’m trying to just take one day at a time and be the best mom I can – but it is a strange time, like walking down the road with nowhere to go … We’ll see where it takes me.”

Newly single Liv Tyler says she will not be watching herself in the new horror film The Strangers because movies like that terrify her.  It seems like working on the movie would desensitize you to the scary factor, but this movie is supposed to be more terrifying than The Grudge. We have a firm policy of not watching movies the stars are too scared to watch.

“When I was a kid, I was obsessed with horror movies but then I watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre and it really scared me, so I was like, ‘OK, I’m done with horror movies.’”

Just a few weeks after the split with her husband of three years, Liv Tyler is having second thoughts. Friends say just about as soon as she kicked rocker Royston Langdon to the curb, she regretted it.

 “is desperately sad and thinks she may have made the mistake of a lifetime,” says a source. “She now feels that no matter how bad it was, they can still make it work.” After hearing from pals like Gwyneth Paltrow that marriage requires hard work, Liv, 30, has tried to reach out to the British rocker, 36, to see if they can patch things up. So far, no luck. “He totally has a bruised ego and is pouting,” says the source. “Liv even suggested that they go on a trip together, but he said no.” The couple, who wed in 2003, have a 3-year-old son, Milo.

We blame the movies for making people believe love is easy.

It’s no secret that we love us some Liv Tyler here at HWB. She handles her celebrity with a quiet grace that is so refreshing in the day of Britney Spears with no panties.

Liv also sets a great example for woman and young girls of all ages by accepting her body and loving it at whatever size she is. Liv’s body confidence and beautiful spirit make her something like a real version of the fairy princess she played in the Lord of the Rings.
