I think this is a sad commentary of where Hollywoods collective head is at. TMobile can get almost every single celeb to an event for a free sidekick, but worthwhile charities have trouble everyday getting attention from these same folks.

On the other hand, would Hollywood even function without Sidekicks and Blackberries these days? It could be considered a tool of the trade.
