Kate Winselt is like the international unofficial spokesperson for growing old gracefully and staying out of the plastic surgeons office.

But if you ask me…and believe me I think it is absolutely OK if she has…she has finally given in and either had some Botox or a tiny bit of work done.

Look at her face…something has been tweaked. She looks a bit like Madonna. These pictures are from the photo call for her new film Carnage at the Venice Film Festival.

Here’s another reason to love Kate Winslet. She refuses to be airbrushed and be Hollywood skinny and she’s a kick-ass strong leading lady. What could make her cooler??? She is now a full-blown HERO.

While Kate and her kids were staying at bagillionaire’s Richard Branson’s home in the Caribbean a fire broke out that destroyed the huge property. But Kate saved the freakin’ day by not only getting her children out safely but rescuing Branson’s elderly momma.

Winslet and her two children were among the VIP guests at the ravaged the wood and stone mansion and ran into the night air in just their pyjamas. According to Sir Richard, courageous Miss Winslet acted like a true Hollywood heroine as she swept his 90-year-old mother Eve into her arms and helped carry her to safety as the mansion crumbled around them.

Sam Mendes, who????

Kate Winslet has moved the freak on and look at this manly man she is hooking up now. British model Louis Dowler is certainly  a nice rebound guy.

Another cool Hollywood couple bite the dust. Kate Winslet and her director husband Sam Mendes are splitting after six years of marriage. Sad. Maybe that’s why Kate looks so good lately. We always step it up a notch after a break-up.

“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year,” their lawyers say in a statement. “The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.”

Winslet, 34, and Mendes, 44, were married in 2003. They have a son, Joe, 6. Winslet also has a daughter, Mia, 9, from her first marriage to Jim Threapleton.

So this makes Kate second divorce. Hmmmm. Maybe she is the one that’s  hard to be married to.

I was just about to write that if Kristen Stewart looked uncomfortable and awkward at this weekends BAFTA’s (see below) then Kate Winslet looked gorgeous and totally comfy in her very flattering and fabulous dress.

But then I looked at the pictures a bit closer and nearly died. What has our ‘real woman’ Kate done to her face? Has the champion of being yourself and not going to  thphysical extremes finally given in to Hollywood pressure?

My guess it’s something simple and non-invasive like a wee bit of Botox. But her lips do look fuller? What do you think?
