Kate Hudson covers December’s UK Elle magazine and looks incredibly buff and athletic after losing twenty pounds for a role as a terminally ill woman in her upcoming film Earthbound. Excerpts from the interview below ..hits stands Wednesday.

On her current weight:

“I’m pretty solid, actually. I’m not, like, 110lbs. But I’m probably heading towards that.”

On the trials of eliminating liquid calories:

“I love my glass of wine. I love tequila. To be in New York for two weeks and not have one beverage! I’m not sure I’ve ever done that.”

On the greatness of Botox:

“I was in a press conference once, and someone says, ‘So, I can tell you’ve never had Botox!’ Is that a compliment? Or are you trying to say I’m starting to get wrinkles? I literally was like, ‘What?’ Everyone’s so obsessed with who gets Botox, but it’s great! Are you kidding? The fact that women can avoid going under the knife, and get a little Botox treat and not have to worry about it? I’m glad it’s there for when it’s time.”

Kate Hudson sort of took the summer off and let herself relax and eat. She was just starting to get “fat” comments by some celebrity bloggers, and then these new super flat belly pics of her pop up.

I could do without the trashy belly chain, but Holy Smokes is she getting a gorgeously flat belly or what???

I’ve been holding out hope that the Kate Hudson / Alex Rodriguez thing would turn out to be untrue or at least just a summer fling.

But they are hanging in there..and keeping it private. When celebs go way far out of their way to keep a relationship quiet it usually means its meaningful.

According to the NY Daily News…Kate Hudson ran in fear when Madonna showed up at the Veuve Clicquot’s Manhatten Polo Classic last Saturday. Was Kate running from the odd-mummy-like-skin on Madge’s face or those creepy old, vieny granny hands? Neither. She was worried that the buff 50 year-old was kick her ass for dating her ex-boyfriend. If you ask me it’s much ado about nothing. We are talking about Alex Rodriguez…I mean they could both do waaay better.

“Kate was completely intimidated by Madonna,” said one guest. “She clearly didn’t want trouble and decided to keep a low profile for the rest of the match.” Said a second guest, “I didn’t even see Kate Hudson again after Madonna arrived. She ran away! But if I were dating Madonna’s ex, I’d be scared, too!”

While Hudson hung out in the back of the tent, Madonna rocked her royal status. After showing up in a black Mercedes-Benz with several NYPD escorts, she held court with boy toy Jesus Luz, her kids Rocco Ritchie and David Banda, as well as pals Marc Jacobs, Lorenzo Martone and photographer Steven Klein.”Madonna literally didn’t care,” said a third eyewitness.”She showed up with no makeup, a dowdy [denim] outfit and her hair pulled up in a ponytail. She doesn’t need to compete with Kate, because she will always be Queen Bee.”

I always thought Kate Hudson was gorgeous, turns out without her trademark glowing blonde hair she looks like…..this.

These pictures were taken in Okalahoma City on the set of Kate’s new film The Killer Inside so I’m hoping for Kate’s sake  that the thick chin and unattractive hair are for the movie…not a new personal look.

I’ve always thought that lots of “hot blondes” would not be so hot without the “blonde”. Brunettes on the other hand, have stand-out features that make them shine even without the “blonde”.  (No offensive to my blonde readers. I’m sure you are all gorgeous.)

Last November, not long after Alex Rodriguez’s relationship with Madonna fizzled and died, he was rumored to be hooking up with Kate Hudson in Miami.  Those rumors quickly died down and we all started gossiping about Kate’s recent weight gain instead. But now the A-Rod/KHud rumors are buzzing again after she was seen cheering him on at the new Yankee Stadium last Friday.

The blond, Los Angeles-born actress — who met A-Rod at the reopening of the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach last November — was photographed at Friday’s game, cheering on the Bronx Bombers at the new Yankee Stadium.But the real action came later that night at Mustang Grill on Second Avenue. Our source said a bartender at the Southwestern joint at 85th Street “was asking patrons not to go in the back room around 1 a.m. because A-Rod and Kate Hudson were back there making out.”

“Yes, they were here together,” the server told us, although she did not witness any lip-lock herself.

Another source said the two were spotted over the weekend outside the glamorous 15 Central Park West, where A-Rod rents an apartment.

I said it back in November and I’ll say it again. I do not like this celeb hook-up. There is something really creepy about Kate

Hudson picking up on Madonna’s sloppy seconds.

But she is definitely taking some time off from her strict workout regime.

I guess it’s true that everyone loves Kate Hudson because everyone who is anyone in H-town turned up at her 30th birthday party

The A-list guests included Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Justin Timberlake, Matthew McConaughey, Tobey Maguire, Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Gwen Stefani, Eva Mendes, Adam Sandler, Zach Braff and the marvelous and even old-school-cool Cher was there.

Of course Kate looked gorg..that’s no surprise. But it interesting to find out that the life of the party was Justin Timberlake (sans Jessica Biel) who was slamming tequila and encouraging everyone to do the electric slide. It sounds like a high-school house party..but without anyone throwing up in your parents bed and doing donuts in the front yard in a beat up Camaro. Things got so crazy that pissed off neighbors called the police around 1:30am!

“Kate was elated, dancing all night, having the time of her life – and she looked amazing in a very sexy little dress and [Christian] Louboutin heels,” a source told the mag. “She gave a very touching speech and spoke about how important her family is to her.”
