Kate Hudson is leaving her comfort zone of mediocre romantic comedies to dive into the thriller/action star world. I’m having a hard time picturing Kate doing awesome stuff like Angelina Jolie in Wanted or Tomb Raider….but I love Kate so I’ll definitely stay open minded.

The actress is set to appear in the upcoming thriller “Everly,” as a woman who breaks up with her mob boss boyfriend and is forced to protect herself against the assassins he hired to kill her.

“Everly” is based on a script by Yale Hannon, which was on the 2010 Black List of the best unproduced scripts. The film will be directed by Joe Lynch. The film is set to begin filming in May and will be financed by Adam Ripp and Rob Paris’ Crime Scene Productions. Anonymous Content will also produce the film.

“When we heard that Kate wanted to make the transition into an action star, we knew we had found our Everly,” Ripp and Paris said in a statement, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “The physicality and intensity of this role will be transformative for her.”

She’s getting slammed for looking dowdy and frumpy by the British tabs….but I’m sort of digging Kate Hudson’s new dark hair. And guess what??? This movie is NOT a crappy rom-com. She is on set filming the film version of the book The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid. Google it…it was kind of a big deal.

As RadarOnline.com was first to report, Bill accused Kate of not visiting or calling her dying grandma, who is battling Alzheimer’s disease.

“Kate doesn’t have to talk to me and she doesn’t have to give her a dime of her millions. All I want is for her to call and say, ‘Hi grandma’, before it’s too late,” Bill said.

“I love Kate, but… She has done stuff which is just awful. She is a spoiled brat in my eyes and at the end of the day, she should meet her little sister. I should meet my grandchild and she should help her grandmother.”

Kate Hudson is bouncing back after baby Bingham and looking great! Kate, Ryder and her new baby daddy Matt Bellamy went swimming in their hotel pool in the South of France yesterday.

If you believe Star magazine, and most of us do not, Kate Hudson and her fiance Matt Bellamy are fighting over a pre-nup.

“Kate and Matt are clashing over money issues… and it may destroy any chance they have of getting married. Their relationship was in a much healthier place before her put a ring on her finger.”

Kate is insisting on a pre-nup because she has more money than Matthew, and the proposed agreement is tougher on him than her.

“He would be on a payment plan of sorts, where he is allotted a certain amount ofmoney annually… and if he cheats, he will lose everything, but if she cheats, no harm, no foul. The fighting over the pre-nup has soured the experience… they may not get married at all. They may just stay engaged, or even split up.”
