22 year-old Joss Stone is causing quite a “row” across the pond with her very open views on smoking pot..and dabbling in other drugs. Although to be fair..I believe she has a new album to promote so a little bit of controversy might come in handy right about now.

She told Star Magazine: ‘I smoke weed, but I don’t think it’s really a drug.It’s more of a herb. I don’t regret saying that at all. I think everyone smokes weed and people who say they don’t are lying!’

Joss said that her parents were aware that she still smoked the drug regularly but that they didn’t mind because, ‘they smoked weed when they were younger’. She dismissed the dangers of cannabis, despite ministers upgrading the drug from a class C to class B drug last year saying it was ‘like having a drink’.

Asked if she smoked everyday she replied: ‘It depends if I’m working, and on what song. And whether it’s a smoking studio or not! It’s like having a drink. Weed has been given this evil stamp, but how is it dangerous? It’s going to make you laugh your arse off? You might go to sleep? I think alcohol is much more harmful. People beat the f**k out of each other on alcohol. But I don’t smoke weed all day long. I live in Devon and hardly ever go to clubs. When I do, I’ll drink three or four beers then move on to a vodka. I don’t want to take all those horrible drugs. Although some sound fun, so I might dabble now and then!’

She was unapologetic about her outburst adding: ‘I’m very honest and I’ve been punished for that over and over again. Every time I say what I think I get s*** for it. But that won’t stop me from being an honest person.’

British R&B singer/songwriter Joss Stone was photographed walking around London this week smoking something ‘handrolled’.

Joss is known for her earthy, boho free-spirit…but is she that free-spirited to just walk the streets getting her mellow on? What do yo think? Legal tabacco or the devil’s weed?

Cool ass blues crooner Joss Stone, along with several other women like Serena Williams and Eva Mendes, posed nude for the upcoming August issue of Jane Magazine. We are sad to say that this issue, dedicated to women’s empowerment and body image issues, will be the final issue for this groovy mag that we’ve loved since it was Sassy.

The fact that Joss and the other ladies would be so brave and show young girls (and us older ones) what a real woman’s body should look like proves what strong support women can be for each other and what strong role models these chicks are. (Read: Girls please realize that skinny Nicole Richie, drugged out Lindsay Lohan and wigged out Britney Spears are so not cool.)

Joss Stone looks like a bright sunshine-y rainbow as she gets a flower tattoo behind her ear. And shows no pain during the process, I might add. She is so cute, don’t you just want to give her a big hug?
