Jessica Simpson Baby Girl Name Revealed

If you believe everything you read in InTouch Weekly (and you definitely should not) hen Jessica Simpson will be naming her baby girl Maxwell. Maxi for short? Maybe. I’m not buying it. I think Jessica and Papa Joe have already cut a deal with the tabs for baby pictures and exclusive first rights to publish baby Simpson’s name.

There is no way they are going to chance missing that big payday with a slip like this.

“They tossed around a lot of names, including some wacky ones like Zinfandel, but couldn’t agree on anything,” a family friend confides.

Now, the pair has come to an understanding, and In Touch — which was first to break the news both of Jessica’s pregnancy and of the baby’s sex — can exclusively reveal the unusual (for a girl) moniker. “They’re going to call her Maxwell, Maxi for short,” the friend says. Maxwell is Eric’s middle name, and also his beloved grandma’s maiden name. “Jessica wanted a name with meaning.”

And not only has Jessica’s been seen wearing a necklace with a diamond “M” pendant in honor of her little bundle of joy, the couple also already ordered onesies monogrammed with the name! Jessica, 31, is now set to give birth on April 20, three weeks earlier than her original due date. “She’s gained so much weight and the baby is so big that doctors pushed up the date,” reveals her friend. And while the thought of giving birth freaks her out, “Jessica and Eric are so eager to meet Maxwell!”

Jessica Simpson has the creative minds and resources to do something much fresher but yet she does the 1991 Demi Moore. Shame on you Elle magazine for nudging our little goofball in the right direction.

Am I the only one that thinks that Jessica Simpson’s maternity style is 100 times better than her non-pregnant style? I will admit that I was expecting Jessica to look a bit Oompa-Loompa-ish during her pregnancy..but so far she is rockin’ maternity better than most celebs.

Jessica and her sister Ashlee were in Toronto Saturday launching the their new tween fashion line Jessica Simpson Girls. Wonder why is wasn’t just Simpson Girls…why is Ashlee’s name left out?

Jessica Simpson OFFICIALLY Announces Pregnancy

We’ve all known it for weeks, but now it’s OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL. Jessica Simpson is pregnant. *Sigh..can we move on and obsess over Kim Kardashian getting divorced now?

Jess announced the news herself on her own website. I guess Papa Joe didn’t get the half a mil he wanted from the tabs for a cover story.
