Am I the only one that thinks that Jessica Simpson’s maternity style is 100 times better than her non-pregnant style? I will admit that I was expecting Jessica to look a bit Oompa-Loompa-ish during her pregnancy..but so far she is rockin’ maternity better than most celebs.

Jessica and her sister Ashlee were in Toronto Saturday launching the their new tween fashion line Jessica Simpson Girls. Wonder why is wasn’t just Simpson Girls…why is Ashlee’s name left out?

Jess announced the news herself on her own website. I guess Papa Joe didn’t get the half a mil he wanted from the tabs for a cover story.

Dressed as a mummy and holding her already-famous baby bump, Simpson, 31, writes, “It’s true, I’m going to be a mummy!”

Jessica Simpson is pregnant, but she wouldn’t confirm anything to anyone until she had a magazine deal — for a fee of up to a half-million dollars. Sources told Page Six that Simpson, with the help of her father/manager, Joe Simpson, refused to say she is expecting until she had a deal in place. The the singer/fashion designer and mentor on NBC’s “Fashion Star” had been shopping a deal to the celebrity weeklies to announce the news and sell the eventual baby photos. We’re told the Simpsons were asking up to $500,000 to close the deal.

She may not be announcing it, but she isn’t hiding it very well. Her face looks different, her already large breasts are ginormous and she isn’t doing her standard ‘from the side’ photo pose.

And look at this telling picture from a personal appearance this weekend…..yep…she’s got baby fever…(that’s cuter if you sing like she’s got jungle fever…)

This female star has certainly had her ups and downs. Her career has gone up and down and has expanded over more than one creative medium. She has dated at least three or four famous guys, has been married to and divorced from another celebrity, and is a tabloid staple. Depending on who you talk to and which day it is, she is either gorgeous or ugly. Well, we know one thing for sure: she is pregnant! She is seven weeks along, and you should expect the announcement within the next couple of weeks. She could wait longer, but she wants to avoid the criticisms about her fluctuating weight. She thinks it will be good for people to know that she “has a baby on board, rather than a burrito on board.” Both she and her partner are very happy about the pregnancy. Oh, and they will be getting married, although the wedding will now happen after the baby is born.

It would certainly explain these recent pictures.

After years of trying to make it as a sexy-pop-star-pop-tart, Jessica is now going to have breast reduction surgery before she marries…whatever that guys name is.

We all know, or have been told, that Jess is an all natural girl..but there were tons of blind items about a year ago floating around that Papa Joe had Jess increase her already voluptuous chest after her career starting failing. Let’s hope that last bit isn’t true, but it would explain why Jess looks so stubby and chubby the past year. Her legs are still pin thin but anytime she’s photographed in a dress she looks much bigger than she is.

Clearly, what works for Paltrow does not work on a Simpson.

Sources claim they’re constantly sparring, and the two have a rivalry that goes back years as competing heads of their own fashion lines, the Jessica Simpson Collection and Nicole’s House of Harlow.

My gut says these two have no hate for each other and this a made up story in a sad attempt to revive the tired frienemy media machine..which makes me not want to watch this show even more.

“Producers thought pairing them on screen would mean lots of fireworks to attract viewers,” said the insider. “But their personalities don’t mesh at all. Behind the scenes, the set is a war zone.” While Nicole is a laid-back sweetie, Jess is a major diva, said the source.

“Nicole is always ready to go, but Jess lingers in her dressing room, keeping everyone waiting and asking to do multiple run-throughs,” the insider divulged.

Then there’s their weight issues. Jess is carrying some extra pounds while Nicole is runway skinny.

“Nicole has made a few digs about Jessica ‘throwing her weight around,’ while Jessica has joked that someone would have to be on a starvation diet to wear Nicole’s designs,” the insider said. “Now they’re barely talking, which doesn’t bode well for the show’s success - and it isn’t even on the air yet!”

Jessica firmly denies she is knocked up and says that is not the reason she is marrying…whatever that dude’s name is.
