Despite heavy promotion, Monday’s premiere attracted just 1 million viewers. Around 487,000 people tuned in for the encore later in the night. The show got beat by a rerun of NCIS on USA, a TruTV series called Operation Repo and History Channel’s Pawn Stars (which rocks by the way).

Just so you’ll understand how bad only 1 million viewer is, former American Idol Fantasia Barrino had a stronger debut for her VH1 reality show, Fantasia For Real. Her show premiere nabbed 2.3 million viewers and no one gives a crap about her.

A VH1 rep tells Us: “We’re very pleased with the show. A million-and-a-half viewers tuned in that night to see the first episode. We expect that audience to build even more.”

Maybe if they get a new host. The premise is not bad…it’s just too painful to watch Jessica Simpson stumble her way through anything. Seriously VH1…we can’t take her seriously. If you want her on your network put her in a comedy.

In this clip, 29-year-old Simpson and her two pals visit a Buddhist temple in Thailand. As a Buddhist monk teaches the trio how to meditate, Jessica can’t help being Jessica.

“If I go, ‘Oh, we’re just friends,’ then it’s like, ‘Did they go out, did he dump her or she dump him, what happened?’ It has nothing to do with any of that,” he tells Rolling Stone. “Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that.”

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman, 42, says his goal in life is “to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do. It’s really simple.”

“She asked me to help her out on the theme song for her new TV show [VH1's 'The Price of Beauty'],” the Smashing Pumpkins frontman says. “[The show] has an interesting concept. She goes around the world to show how different people perceive beauty. In some cultures, bigger is better. In some, smaller is better. It’s interesting.”

He says that he ended up writing part of the theme song, which he describes as having “a little bit of an alternative rock edge, but it’s still very pop-y.”

Despite his spin on things…most media outlets are standing by the reports that they secretly dated for four months.

I suppose it’s a confirmation of a relationship…but what kind of relationship remains to be seen. My guess is that it’s purely a working relationship because we just never see BC with chicks like this. Then again, John Mayer hit it and quit it so you see how easy it is for men to get sucked in by the DD’s and blond hair.

I’m surprised that Ken Paves stood idly by and watched his meal ticket risk going up in flames.

WTF is Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan doing with Jessica Simpson??? It never ceases to amaze me how a big rack and blond hair can make even the most intelligent of men do stupid things. I used to have mad respect for Billy…but now..not so much.

Just days after the unfortunate dog-eating incident Jess flew straight to Africa to film another installment of her new show The Price of Beauty.
