You gotta give the girl props for hanging in there as long as she did. Jennfier Love Hewitt fought back after the media attacked her for looking a bit hippy in her bikini this summer. But now it appears she’s given in to Hollywood pressure, hired a trainer and lost 18 pounds!!!!!

Jen said she was a size 2 when the press was calling her fat, so what does a nearly 20 pound weight loss make a size 2??? Unless she wasn’t really  a size 2 to begin with….. hmmmm.

With her, it’s not, ‘I want to look good in that dress,’” trainer Stevie Sant’Angelo tells Us. “She wanted to start moving around because she thought it would make her feel better.

“She told me, ‘They said some rude, mean things, but that’s not why I wanted to change,’” Sant’Angelo says.

Newly engaged and loving life, Jennifer Love Hewitt isn’t letting the press get her down. The bikini candids of JHew that surfaced last week showing a curvy, and very un-Hollywoodlike, body caused nearly every gossip blog and tabloid out there to comment on Jennifer’s weight gain. Yesterday Jen took a few minutes to respond to the criticism on her personal blog.

“Like all women out there should, I love my body. I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image. A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful. … To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini – put it on and stay strong.”

That’s right sista! Preach it girl!
