Hunky and bigoted Isaiah Washington says he is now in therapy to figure out why he can’t stop using anti-gay slurs.
“With the support of my family and friends, I have begun counseling. I regard this as a necessary step toward understanding why I did what I did and making sure it never happens again,” Washington said in a statement Wednesday. “I appreciate the fact that I have been given this opportunity and I remain committed to transforming my negative actions into positive results, personally and professionally.”

Isaiah Washington Meets With Gay Leaders

Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington, who just can’t seem to keep his bigoted thoughts to himself, has met with gay rights activists who report that he has seen the pain his words have caused and has agreed to educate the public about how wrong that sort of language is.

“He seemed very sincere in his interest in working with us in an ongoing basis,” Kevin Jennings, executive director of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. “We emphasized that this is not a one-shot deal, but an ongoing thing. He was very open to doing this.”

This on-going drama started last October when Washington used the term ‘faggot’ to describe castmate T.R. Knight during an on-set argument with Patrick Dempsey. Washington foolishly used the slur again last week at the Golden Globes as he denided ever uttering it. Confusing and stupid? Yes. But this one word has caused such drama for the hunky Dr. Burke, I think its safe to say we won’t be hearing much from him for a while. Look for his PSA in the very near future.

McDreamy and Burke duke it out on the set of Grey’s Anatomy. Known in real life as Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey. Yahoo reports that the actors ’shared a heated exchange Monday on set about cast members delayiing a scene, when Washington grabbed Dempsey by the throat and shoved him’. Reps for both actors say the two have made ammends.
Why oh why couldn’t the camera’s have caught that??? That would’ve been video gold.
