It’s always been just a matter of time before Heather Locklear returned to Melrose Place and today the CW released the following statement:

“We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to ‘Melrose Place,’” executive producers Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer said in today’s press statement. “Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.”

Heather was originally brought in to the original series by Aaron Spelling to boost ratings. The combination of Heather’s bitchy character played to perfection and her micro-mini-skirts that could never be worn to the office in real life, did just that.

Since the show is sucking again, the produces are going to following Spelling’s game plan and have Heather reprise her role as scheming ad exec Amanda Woodward. Amanda was last seen with Peter (played by her real-life beau Jack Wagner) faking her own death on the Melrose series finale in 2000.

Heather Locklear returns to Melrose Place on Nov. 17.

Heather Locklear is not having a good year. She’s been in treatment for anxiety and depression and apparently her medication needs to be tweaked. Heather was arrested by the California Highway Patrol around 7pm Saturday after a random citizen called 911 to report her crazy driving.

Locklear showed bizarre behavior, driving back and forth over a pair of sunglasses on the pavement and revving her engine. After leaving the parking lot, she stopped her car on the street and stumbled into the traffic lane, according to the caller, who followed Locklear out of concern, Marshall said.

By the time the CHP officer got there, Heather had parked her car on SR 192, blocking a lane. The officer talked to her and determined that she was disoriented and “under the influence of something.” She was taken to the CHP’s Santa Barbara-area office to be tested for alcohol and drugs.

Heather tested negative for alcohol but the other drug tests results won’t be back for a few days. Too many Xanax? I know there is a CHIP’s tv show/Heather Locklear joke in here somewhere….you know she had some bit parts on that show back in the day for sure.

All those crazy 911 suicide stories about Heather Locklear may have been true. People magazine confirmed yesterday that Heather has checked herself into an in-patient treatment program for anxiety and depression. It’s no wonder that HL is a little antsy. Her husband of umpteen years left her for her best friend and the whole ugly story was splashed all over every tabloid in town. Add that to the fact that she can’t carry a television show or movie anymore and you’ve a got a breakdown in the making.

“Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment,” says Locklear’s rep, Cece Yorke. “This is a confidential medical matter and no further statement will be released.”

It’s got to be hard to realize your career as you know it is over. Back in the day, if your tv show was tanking all you had to do was bring in Heather Locklear. (Melrose Place and Spin City) Maybe once she comes to grips with that her Melrose Place days are over, she’ll be ok.

Don’t worry kids. Heath Locklear did not try to commit suicide over the weekend. TMZ reports that it was just a case of her concerned mental health doctor being cautious.

We’re told the shrink spoke with Heather on Saturday night and was alarmed because she was “upset” and he believed she might OD on medication prescribed for depression. The call was listed with dispatch as a “suicide attempt.”

Heather’s marriage fell apart when her triflin’ BFF Denise Richards stole her triflin’ husband away from her last year. But by all accounts Heather has been in a happy relationship with Jack Wagner for some time now. Heather’s depression most likely comes from being over 40 in Hollywood and having a hard time finding work.

Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner Still Happy and Still Cute Couple – Gabby Babble

I soooo hope this is true. This hook-up would have been like soap opera royality back in the day, but even now I think they are just cookie cutter California cute together. Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner shocked and awed party goers when they showed up holding hands at Dreamworks chief Jeffrey Katzenberg’s The Night Before (the Oscars) party at the Beverly Hills hotel.

Other guests at the party said they seemed very comfortable together and seemed very much to be ‘a couple’. Heather and Jack’s friendship goes back to when they both co-stars on the 90’s soap Melrose Place. I go further back with dreamboat Jack, back to Port Arthur on General Hospital when he played the hunky Frisco. He ended up marrying his love interest on the show Felicia, but they split in 2005. Heather of course is now free of that lying, cheating husband of hers that left for her best friend.

Locklear, 45, and soap star Wagner, 47, go way back. They were co-stars on the hot 90s prime-time soap, Melrose Place. Locklear dated comic David Spade after her breakup with rocker Richie Sambora last year. Wagner was married to soap opera actress Kristina Wagner, but according to reports, he has been separated from his wife since 2005, when they filed for divorce.

Denise certainly does not look happy as she shops for bath and body products yesterday. But a girl has to smell good while she is stealing her best friends husband away.

I hate to see people looking so miserable, but Karma ALWAYS gets you in the end. Just becuase you are wronged by your cheating, gambling freak of a husband doesn’t mean it’s ok for you to knife your BFF in the back. And now the gorgeous Heather Locklear has to settle for that wormy little David Spade. Ewww.
