Travis Barker revealed his new DJ AM In Memoriam tattoo today on his Twitter page. Travis and Adam Goldstein were the only survivors of a terrifying plane crash in September 2008.

Travis was burned badly and Adam walked around in major pain a neck brace for months. He survived that horrible ordeal only to suffer a relapse and die of an overdose last August. He was 36.

The tattoo features an angel praying beneath the words “In Memory of DJ AM.”

I thought the suicide theories about DJ AM had been disproven but today this a new report that claims nine Oxycontins were found in his stomach during the autopsy make that a very real possibility. He actually had eight pills in his stomach and one still in his mouth. While most family and friends will never believe this was the case..it’s starting to look like this might be the final cause of death.

This info suggests that AM swallowed the painpills quickly.

“He wanted to die,” says the source, who says the suicide theory is supported by the pills and other evidence. “He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn’t even swallow it.”

Chillingly, Goldstein’s BlackBerry was filled with messages from concerned friends. One read, “Some (expletive) just said you’re dead. Better text me back.”

By now you’ve all heard the sad news about the apparent drug overdose of DJ AM. But you might not be aware that the he was working on a reality show about drug abuse for MTV. In this recent interview with MTV news to promote the show, he talked about how he bought a crack pipe to to show how easy it is.

He said, “I bought a crack pipe … that was my drug of choice. And I walked out and I’m holding it … and then I realized after I was holding it that my palms were sweaty and I was like, ‘Wait a minute, this is not smart for me to be holding this.’”

DJ AM was found dead in his apartment Friday night of an apparent drug overdose. Sunday law enforcement revealed they found a bag of crack by his body.

The details are unclear and some media outlets are reporting that DJ AM’s body is still in his apartment. More to follow.

Celebrity disc jockey DJ AM – also known as Adam Goldstein – was found dead in SoHo Friday.

According to authorities, his body was found in his seventh floor apartment around 5:20 p.m. and was surrounded by prescription drugs. One of his friends – who had reportedly not heard from him in a few days – phoned authorities when he went to check on him and did not get a response.

New York City police then broke down the door and found DJ AM dead.

Goldstein, along with drummer Travis Barker, survived a small plane crash in South Carolina back in September. Four people died in that incident.

DJ AM has opened up what happened in those first few minutes after that awful plane crash last month. He admits that what saved his life were the basic fire safety tips they teach you in elementary school.

“I’m the luckiest man alive. (There was) fire everywhere. I tried to cover my face as I jumped through a fireball. As soon as I hit the ground, I remembered, ‘Stop, drop and roll.’ So I started rolling. I can’t believe I made it. I’m just grateful.”

He goes on to explain that he was sleeping when the plane crashed and he woke up to flames and the sound of his friend Travis screaming. He then saw Travis jerk open the door and slide down on his backside down a wing of the plane that was already on fire.

Goldstein tells People, “My eyebrows and layers of skin were burned off my face. My forehead was gouged and my arm had skin hanging off. I was in shock and didn’t feel anything.(But) in the ambulance I was in so much pain. It sounds weird, but they turn the heat on full blast so your body doesn’t go into hypothermia. On burns that’s excruciating.”

If there is any positive at all to come out of this tragedy, it’s that you bet your ass that DJ AM and Travis Barker are savoring every single minute of every single day of their borrowed time. And hopefully Travis won’t waste any more of his precious life on that trashy ex-wife of his. And is it my imagination or does Adam all of the sudden look 10 years older?
