It was all about the Russell Crowe/Ridley Scott Robin Hood flick at the first day of the Canne Film Festival. This movie is going to be epic..although I think Russell and Cate are too old to be playing Robin Hood and Maid Marion..but that’s just my humble opinion. Mr. HollywoodBackwash disagrees as he loves all things Russell Crowe.

Anyhoo…Russell, Cate and company all looked flawless at the photo call for the movie. Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria and Kate Beckinsale were there as well. But no one really cared.

Cate Blanchett shocked the world with her dramatic and scary weight loss at the Met Costume Institute gala. Cate usually has one of the most enviable womanly figures in Hollywood but her gorgeous curves have been replaced with sharp shoulder bones and strange bruises.

I am going to hope and pray that this shocking weight loss is for Cate’s role in the new Bob Dylan biopic and not a case of a intelligent woman getting caught up in the Hollywood machine. I just don’t see Cate Blanchett with an eating disorder.
