There was kissing, and touching and smiling. There was wine-drinking and small talk with Tilda Swinton. There were photo-ops with people that Angie normally doesn’t even give notice to. She was the perfect wife last night.

For Brad’s part he is still spreading the news that he will asking Angie to marry him soon because of the kids.

‘We’re getting a lot of pressure from the kids,’ Pitt, 48, says. ‘It means something to them.’

And when his brood of six  – Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and Knox and Vivienne, 3 – asked him to ‘get mommy a ring,’ Pitt said he acquiesced and said: ‘Okay, I will! I will.’

Since that’s not going to happen anytime soon…and the huge army of kids in Brangelina-land are getting impatient and because Brad has been nominated for an Oscar for Moneyball and a wedding would be MAJOR for him right now…we could be seeing a Nambian wedding any day now.

You can see  huge slideshow of the best and worst dressed here, but I had to comment on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. They were of course the best dressed couple of the evening. Angelina looks porcelain doll perfect (and oddly like Rose McGowan) and Brad as always is there putting her on the pedestal we wish all our men put us on.

So far my foggy morning research has deduced that Angie killed it and that Ricky Gervais was exactly what we thought he was going to be. But this time the celebrities were prepared with their own jabs.

Yep…they just went to hang out with the president in the oval office. No big deal. Just another Wednesday in Brangelina-ville.

The power couple were snapped inside by photographers waiting outside for the President to take off for a trip to Chicago.

The White House confirmed Pitt and Jolie were in town to screen Jolie’s movie about Bosnian war crimes at the Holocaust museum. They dropped by so the President could talk with Jolie about her work on preventing mass atrocities and combating sexual violence against women.

n 2009 the President met with Pitt to discuss his working rebuilding New Orleans’ 9th Ward after Hurricane Katrina.

Today’s pictures of Brad and Angelina come just a day after the first pictures of the infamous 2009 Alice in Wonderland Halloween partaty at the White House emerged – with guests including Jolie’s co-star from The Tourist, Johnny Depp, and director Tim Burton

The Obamas have been highly criticised for hosting the lavish Halloween party at the same time that the country was in the midst of a recession.

Brad said he was channelling ‘Peter Lorre – with a dose of Kramer.’

While he does bear a resemblance to the popular Seinfeld character, he was in fact featuring as the character Eraserhead in David Lynch’s cult classic 1977 film. And surely his legion of fans will be locked in discussion about who he looks more like – the Jerry Seinfeld’s screwball neighbour or disturbed character Henry Spencer

Brad also stars in a brief video for the magazine shoot, in which the camera slowly zooms in on Brad, who then turns towards his head to face it and starts gurning.

Brad is not the only celeb that got involved in the magazine’s homage to classic evil film characters. George Clooney, Ryan Goslin and Kirsten Dunst, Rooney Mara, Gary Oldman, Michael Shannon, Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Kirsten Dunst, Glenn Close, Mia Wasikowska, Adepero Oduye and Jean Dujardin all got their evil on too.

Pitt later clarified his comments at a press conference in South Korea, according to The Daily Telegraph. “I wasn’t actually putting an exact deadline on my expiration date [in Australia's "60 Minutes" interview], but I see it coming,” he said. “I just have other interests and I do quite enjoy the production side.”

Brad Pitt saved a “World War Z” extra from being trampled during filming, reports The Scottish Sun.

Pitt, who stars as a United Nations employee in the zombie apocalypse film, was filming a scene in which 700 extras tear through George Square in Glasgow, Scotland, on Wednesday. During the scene, a woman fell down, putting herself in danger of being run over by her fellow extras. But Pitt, a real-life hero, swooped in and brought her to her feet.

“Lots of people hurt themselves, and Brad came to the rescue of a woman who slipped,” a witness told the paper of the fleeing-from-zombies scene. “I don’t think she could believe it when Brad picked her up. He didn’t have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterwards how grateful she was, despite having a badly-grazed knee.”
