Simon Monjack Died Exactly Like Brittany MurphyPosted on: July 22, 2010 | Comments Off
Something seems to fishy to me about the deaths of Brittany Murphy and her husband Simon Monjack. According to CNN, the coroner concluded that Monjack died the same way as his wife—from acute pneumonia and severe anemia. “Just like Brittany,” Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said. How often does a husband and wife die within five months of each other of the same thing? Not counting the elderly who are just tired of living and give up. Prescription drugs were found in both Brittany and Simon’s systems but coroners say they did not cause an overdose or apparently contribute to Simon’s death. The medical examiner has also ruled out heart disease as a contributing factor. Monjack had reportedly been experiencing heart problems. The two are buried next to each other at the Forest Lawn cemetery in LA.
Brittany Murphy Cause Of Death: It Was PreventablePosted on: February 4, 2010 | Comments Off
Brittany Murphy’s cause of death has been determined — an accidental death caused by “community acquired pneumonia,” iron deficiency anemia, and multiple drug intoxication. Sources tell TMZ a man who worked at Brittany Murphy’s house has told the Coroner’s Office that someone would deliver a sealed, manila envelope to the house every Friday filled with prescription medications in bottles. The name on the envelope — “Lola.”
Brittany Murphy’s Husband Suing Warners Brothers For Wrongful DeathPosted on: January 28, 2010 | Comments Off
A month after her death, Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack has decided to file a wrongful-death action against Warner Brothers. He claims that the studio is responsible for the unexpected death of his 32-year-old wife last December. The Daily Beast has more of the story here. “They killed her,” he told me. Although the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office hasn’t released a final cause of death, Monjack and Brittany’s mother, Sharon, who also spoke to me, are convinced that the once-promising star died of a heart attack from the stress caused by Warner Brother’s canceling of a contract just two weeks before she died. Murphy was excited to have begun production on the sequel to the animated hit Happy Feet, but when she was fired by Warner Brothers, Monjack says, “She was devastated.” On top of that, a month before Warner Brothers’ decision, Brittany was fired from The Caller, and replaced with Twilight star Rachelle Lefevre. There were rumors that Monjack—who did Brittany’s hair and makeup—had been so difficult on the set, sometimes showing up drunk, that the producers had let her go. “It’s a cruel town,” he says. “Warner Brothers relied on conjecture and hearsay about the Puerto Rico film for why they canceled Brittany’s role in Happy Feet. You’re disposable as an actress or actor.” He’s right about that. It is a cruel town. Actors get fired all day for less things than acting flighty on set. Just ask Brit’s replacement for The Caller. Rachelle Lefevre got replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the Twilight saga and was heartbroken as well. It happens all the time.
Pics Brittany Murphy On Set Of Last FilmPosted on: December 23, 2009 | Comments Off
Some haunting pictures of a gaunt looking Brittany Murphy on the set of her last movie Abandoned. In the movie Brittany stars as Mary Walsh, a woman who believes her husband has vanished and is fighting not only to find him but to counter threats to her own life and sanity. The flick, also starring Dean Cain, Mimi Rogers and Peter Bogdanovich, is now expected to be released early next year. Reports of her ‘barely there’ behavior on the set of this film started surfacing the day she died. Most say her mental state was due to her relationship with her tubby husband, whom we are learning more and more ugly things about daily. In fact, I’m pretty sure she was actually fired from one film because of his on-set behavior.
Brittany Murphy Sick and Vomiting Before DeathPosted on: December 21, 2009 | Comments Off
I told ya’ll it was gonna get ugly. Today TMZ has the first report of drugs found in Brittay Murphy’s home. Lots of drugs. Prescription drugs. Did I mention lots of drugs? Sources say various prescriptions were found in the home — written for Brittany Murphy, husband Simon Monjack, and Brittany’s mom. One source says, “There were a lot … a lot of prescriptions in the house.” An expert was just on The Today Show and discussing how she was self-medicating for her major insecurities. She also explained how excessive weight loss will shrink your heart muscle as well as the rest of your body, making a heart attack very plausible for a 32 year-old woman. Meanwhile, the fat husband still doesn’t want an autopsy or toxicology report done. Suspicious, non?
