Ya’ll are probably still wondering WTF??? about Alexander McQueen’s suicide…I am too. Just more proof that success and fame does not equal a happy life. The designer’s suicide did came just days after his mother died..but there must have been much more sadness in dude’s life. Losing a parent is devastating but most of us have the will to go on and make our parents proud through our families and/or accomplishments.

I’m sure some major skeletons are going to start jumping out of his already outed closet …but for now we can just hope he is resting in some sort of peace.

According to the Scotland Yard report, “Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 10:20 a.m. [Thursday] regarding a man found dead …The deceased is believed to be 40 years old and from London. Next of kin have been informed but formal identification is awaited. A postmortem examination will be arranged in due course. The death is being treated as non-suspicious at this time.”

Britain’s Daily Mail reports that he hanged himself in his luxury apartment.

Alexander McQueen For Target

I always get so excited when I hear who is the next big name designer that will be partnering with Target for their Go International collection. I wait for months and months and dream of walking in my local discount superstore and going home with an entire collection of a major fashion house for under $300.

When I see the previews and sneak peeks on-line I get even more excited, imagining how great I’m going to look in every piece. Then I panic that my local Target won’t have the entire collection so I spend hours on the website making sure  I find every single piece (some of them are hidden and won’t pop up until you have tons of stuff in your cart) and buying them in a blind fear that these pieces will be so amazing that the will sell out in Kate Moss H&M time.

7-10 days later I receive the big bulls-eye box, try on my goodies then promptly return them to the store for a full refund. I have NEVER kept one single piece from the Go Collection, and while I don’t expect anything different from Alexander McQueen’s new line, I’ll still be stalking Target.com until I see every studded and ill-fitting piece for myself.

Alexander McQueen will produce a collection for the mega chain that will be available in stores and online from March 1 through April 11, 2009. McQueen said the line is inspired by the British band Duke Spirit. Duke Spirit is a grunge band and lead singer Leila Moss was McQueen’s muse for the collection. The descriptions I’ve been reading from the few people that have seen the McQ collection sound kick-ass cool and right up this bloggers alley…but so did the Alice Temperly, Proenza Schouler and don’t even get me started on the hot-cheaply-made -mess that was Jovovich-Hawk

The collection has a muted color palette of black, white, gray and tan with accents of cobalt blue and bright pink. Studs and mesh give items an edge. ” He will design a version of his McQ collection simply called McQ Alexander McQueen for Target. The collection will have influences from rock ‘n’ roll and equally as edgy details including studs and tattoo-print fabrics.
