2010 Golden Globes PostPosted on: January 18, 2010 | Comments Off
I’m not gonna bore you with 100 pictures from Sunday nights Golden Globes ..but I will share a few of my favorite moments and dresses. The arrivals was probably my favorite part of the night. Watching all the men holding borrowed umbrellas over their wives/girlfriends heads on the red carpet was adorable.
My favorite award show gown is a tie between Kate Hudson’s lovely white Marchesa gown and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s simple yet elegant RM by Roland Mouret dress. Did you see her? She looks amazing. So did Jennifer Garner..FYI. Those arms! The best speeches of the night came from Mo’ Nique, Drew Barrymore and Meryl Streep. Ricky Gervais was a decent host and got off a few really funny digs at celebs, including a knee-slapper at Mel Gibson’s expense. The tension between Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston as they presented some boring award was awkward. Seriously? What’s up with those two? Robert Downey, Jrs acceptance speech for Best Actor in Comedy/Musical was funny and made me remember how cool he is. My favorite over all celebrity of the night is definitely Julia Roberts. 42-years-old with three kids, Julia had legs for days in a vintage Yves Saint Laurent dress and Van Cleef & Arpels necklace. She looked fresh, stylish, cool and comfortable all night and even managed to look breezy sitting next to Paul McCartney all night. Of course Avatar beat Inglorious Basterds and True Blood lost so that sux. End of report.
