Britney Spears turned down a $2 million dollar offer to be the new face of Kleenex. The tissue company believed they had offered the pop star a deal she couldn’t refuse. After all, who wouldn’t want to take the opportunity to turn a disastrous, horrifying interview into something funny. Poking fun at herself is the only thing that can save Brit at this point.
An insider said: “Kleenex thought it would help her tattered image if she found the humor in her tearful interview and did a comedy parody of it. The internet is full of cheeky imitations of the interview. And she could get people to laugh with her, not at her, if she took part in her very own skit.â€? She made it clear she is not ready to joke about her TV breakdown and is horrified by Kleenex’s “insensitivity”.
A friend explained: “Britney was fuming when Kleenex approached her. She wants to put that horrific TV appearance behind her as quickly as possible and doesn’t want to remind the world about it with a series of tasteless commercials.
