Britney Spears is getting slammed by the Humane Society of the United States for purchasing a $3000 Yorkshire Terrier puppy at a Beverly Hills pet store over the weekend. Britney was chastised in a formal press release by the Society’s director.

“Most dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills — factory-like facilities, churning out purebred and “designer” puppies in large numbers…Every time someone purchases a dog from a pet store, they risk perpetuating the horrendous business of puppy mills.”

We totally agree and fully support the adoption of pound puppies. And we really want to know what the markup is in Beverly Hills on Yorkies. $3K really? For a Yorkie? And now, we aren’t even gonna open the pink wig can of worms.
