The lucky photographer that Britney Spears handpicked to spend the night with her last week is already cashing in on his 15 minutes. Adnan Ghalib spilled the beans about what happened that late night between him and our favoite popwreck to 20/20 this week. Because he follows her day and night in a really creepy way, he has tons of insight to share on Britney as well.

“I think, God’s honest truth, I think she’s a great person. I really do. She’s young. … She’s never made the best choices in friends, even her relationships. It’s unfortunate that she is the way she is because of the people she surrounds herself with. She’s easily influenced, and that’s where her bad choices come from.”

On the stealing the lighter incident he tells 20/20

“We’d been out driving for about six hours and I just stuck with her the whole time. She had paid for some cigarettes, went back in, picked up a lighter and said ‘I stole a lighter,’ and just walked out. And it was like — I couldn’t believe it.” “Ball park, that 40-second clip could run about $40,000, Not bad.”

On why he and his breathren follow only Britney day and night every where she goes, he says her unpredictable actions are a gold mine.

“She’ll get in a car, you think she’s going to get coffee, she’ll drive to Vegas. Or … she’ll go to the airport, she’ll fly to Cabo for two days. So, she is lucrative in that sense.”

On how he justifies hounding a young girl for a living:

“I mean, if we’re not there, who’s going to pump her gas? Just yesterday she asked me to escort her home. Maybe the only friends she’s going to have that treat her with the respect that she deserves are going to be the photographers that work her 24 hours a day. It’s going to have to be us…I think we are her friends now. Until she tells us to go away.”

Just in the past few weeks, Britney’s antics and photo-ops have been plentiful enough to earn a pro like Adnan close to $200,000. She is a meal ticket for these guys who let dollar signs blind them to the fact that at least 30 cars chase her through the streets at all hours and it’s a just a matter of time before some civilian gets hurt.
