The news just keeps getting worse. Britney Spears is running around LA in the same jeans she has had one for several days with no credit cards or cash, only her blonde wig and hat. Internet rumor is that Kevin Federline is refusing to let Britney see her kids right now and that is why she was visiting an attorney on Wednesday after her rehab break-out.

We spotted Spears earlier today at the law offices of Tarlow & Berk, the high-powered lawyers who represented Mel Gibson in last year’s DUI case. Our source says outside the office Britney was sitting in the passenger’s seat of a blue Mercedes talking intensely on her cell phone while her cousin, Allie Sims, sobbed.

I hope that you kids will forgive me, but I am going to join the Craig Ferguson camp and lay off the Britney bashing for now. She is obviously in desperate need of help. I think she has gone way beyond normal celebrity stupidity into a very dangerous territory.
