Remember that childhood friend that Britney Spears married in Las Vegas out of the blue in 2004? Jason Alexander has confirmed that Britney had a problem with drugs and excessive partying even then.

“We used ecstasy at night to party and cocaine during the day to stay awake. Then we would take downers like Valium to come down and rest. Britney stayed up three days straight over New Year. I couldn’t keep up. She definitely had a problem with drugs when we were together – and that was three years ago.”

Jason also tells a disturbing story of a Britney near overdose in the days right before they got married when the couple where taking caplets of pure MDMA when her breathing slowed so much he had sneak her out of the club and back to their suite.

“She was sweating and overheating and her breathing was getting real slow. Other people were panicking. But we got her out the back and up to the suite. I took her into the bathroom and threw her into the shower. She was unconscious. She tripped and fell. I was trying to hold her up and speak to her. She wasn’t moving.”

Sadly no one intervened or even took her to the hospital on this occasion. So for three years people around her have been turning a blind eye to her drug use. Nice.
