We’ve all faked a cough or some illness to get out work at some time or another, our personal favorite being the versatile 24 hour bug (feel free to use that one next Monday morning).  Most of us don’t have half the cahones it takes to blow off such an important court deposition when your kids are on the line, but our friend Britney Spears sure does.

Brit Brit was scheduled to appear at Kevin Federline’s attorney’s office at 10am yesterday morning to face a barrage of questions about her past drug and alcohol use and failure to file court orders. Britney’s BFF Sam Lufti say’s the anxiety about the questions coupled with the media insanity outside her house pushed her over the top.

“We got up and got ready to go. Her attorneys came to pick her up, but when she saw the media frenzy outside her house, her anxiety sky rocketed. He said her doctor and attorneys felt it was in her best interest not to attend.”
