Britney Spear’s manager Larry Rudolph confirmed in an e-mail to the Associated Press that Britney’s mother Lynn drove her to and check her into the Promises Malibu drug and alcohol rehab center. Yes kids, the same place Britney bolted from the other day.

After a huge blow out at Kevin Federline’s house Wednesday night that ended with a crazy, bald Britney brandishing an umbrella, Britney and Kevin agreed that their two boys would stay with him while Britney completed the inpatient treatment program that will last up to 45 days.

So you might be wondering why fickle Britney has once again decided to seek help. If you read between the lines of the events of yesterday it’s obvious that Kevin had something to hold over Britney that would result in her losing custody of her boys. Kevin and his attorney had set up an emergency custody hearing for Thursday but cancelled it early Thursday morning when Britney got checked into Promises.

Kevin is either standing up and dishing out some much needed tough love, or he is shrewdly biding his time until he gets full custody of the kids and the money. What do you think?
