Barbara Walters reported on The View yesterday that Britney Spears is seeking treatment for her mental issues. Barbara says that she had a phone conversation with Brit’s BFF Sam Lufti where she learned that the popwreck is suffering from “mental issues which are treatable.” Lufti also told the Barb that Britney suffers from major mood swings and has trouble sleeping.

“She has been to a psychiatrist. She, I assume, is starting some kind of treatment.”

On a positive note, we now have confirmation that Britney is speaking to her mother again and now we know that Whoopie Goldberg has gots Brits back. Whoop chimed in with her opinion before Barbara changed the topic.

“I think this girl has worked and worked and worked – and she is burnt out.”
