We’ve long thought that Jessica Simpson’s relationships are strategically set up by her management and now everyone else seems to be getting wise too. There are new reports floating around out there that Jessica’s relationship with John Mayer (which we never bought) was perfectly timed with the release of her last album and now the Owen Wilson rumor is to help promote her new country transition.

Yeah, we didn’t get how a relationship with Owen Wilson was going to help Jessica but then someone pointed out to us that they are both from Texas and Owen seems to have everyone’s sympathy right now.
