In a clever move to take the focus off her crumbling relationship with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie released this touch video tribute to her mother today.

The video is titled “TO MOM WITH LOVE – James and Angelina,” and shows a young  Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away of cancer on January 27, 2007 with Angelina and her brother James Haven on a family vaca in Hawaii in 1981.

“January 27, 2010 is the third Anniversary of Marcheline’s passing. To commemorate this day, we are celebrating our memories of her with this home video,” reads the text accompanying the video.
