The rumor mill is a funny thing. I don’t know where this one came from but it’s hot. Word is American Idol is doing a major house cleaning due to low ratings and the powers that be over there want Britney Spears to replace played out Randy Jackson and the perpetually drunk Paula Abdul.

Randy and Paula still have a few years left on their contracts so if this is true, there are going to be some major cash payouts.
