A source tells us Sacha Baron Cohen, playing a wildly gay Austrian TV reporter in “Bruno,” conducted a wacky interview with the “American Idol” judge. “Paula was totally fooled. She bought into his character and to this day isn’t aware she was fooled,” the insider said. Abdul’s rep had no immediate comment. Universal, which releases the flick July 10, also had no comment. Texas Rep. Ron Paul has already admitted being tricked into a hotel room by Cohen’s character.

Us Weekly says that Jon Gosselin is a trifin’ cheater. In this week’s issue they claim they have a source that saw the daddy of 8 and star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 leaving a club at 2am with a mystery woman and sans wedding band. (Like the whole isn’t aware that he married to Kate: The Mean One) While Kate was in Washington promoting her new book Eight Little Faces, Jon was getting his groove on.

Jon Gosselin arrived at the club at 11:20 p.m. and by 2 a.m. “could barely walk” as he exited the less-public back entrance of Legends Lounge — near the family’s $1.3-million home in Wernersville, Pennsylvania — on April 18, a fellow partier tells Us Weekly.

While TLC had no comment on the story or the couple’s marital status, Jon sent an emailed statement to Us.

“I went to Legends to speak to the owner. A friend of mine wanted to check out my car, so I let her drive it to her car,” he says. “Yes, I have female friends — but that is all she is. I’m not going to end my friendships just because I’m on TV”

You almost can’t blame the guy. His constantly being put down, yelled at and talked down to on television and was Kate even famously once berated him for breathing in a way that she disliked on the show.
